The world is going to look back and wish we had just fallen off the fiscal cliff. We are about to plummet into a global economic abyss. The fault lines crisscross Europe. For over two years, Ana Maria Cuevas, 36 years old has worked in a ceramic factory just outside of her home town of Valencia Spain. The problem is the factory is having trouble paying it’s employees. She is owed about $13,000. Last month when her mortgage was due she was down to $130 in her checking account. She is not alone. Being paid on time is no longer something that can be counted on. Regional and municipal governments are also having the same problems. Workers do the best they can and are afraid to rock the boat. They are afraid if they make too much noise they will be thrown overboard.

With the Spanish government deeply in debt and unemployment surpassing 25%, the risk of massive social unrest is growing. The draconian austerity measures put into effect have made a desperate
situation worse. Greece, Italy, Ireland, Portugal and Spain are all on the same sinking ship. They are redeeming the time by rearranging the deck furniture. Solving a debt crisis by adding more debt only accelerates the plunge into the icy deep. By the way…..London banks are deeply exposed to the sovereign “Club Med” debt. (Not the resort)

WORLD FACE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE

“London Banks are folding as the value of the pound is plummeting. Frantic depositors are lining up hoping to withdraw their savings. The British government has issued statements to calm the public but to no avail. Similar scenes occurred in other major cities around the world today. Our correspondent in England, Harold Davis, interviewed the President of a leading London bank. DAVIS: To what do you attribute the worldwide economic mayhem?
BANKER: As you know it was coming for a long time. The western nations’ dependence on oil, unbalanced budgets, low production, inflationary spirals, soaring interest rates and lack of leadership precipitated this inevitable debacle. Banks and financial institutions in many nations are folding fast. Because of runaway inflation and outrageous interest rates, paper currency is becoming worthless. Industry is grinding to a halt all over the world and countries are becoming involved in trade wars in order to survive. Stock markets and commodity exchanges have crashed and the price of gold has soared to an all-time high. People lucky enough to find work are barely able to feed their families. World leaders are desperately looking for a solution but no answer is in sight.”

My brother Willie and I wrote The Last Trumpet in April 1980. What you just read were two of the lead articles dealing with the economy. The newspaper dramatizes future events including the Russian invasion of the Middle East, the rapture, the rise of the antichrist, the coming one world government all the way through the Battle of Armageddon and the second coming of Jesus Christ. On the back cover is a clear presentation of the gospel featuring Isaiah 53.

John McTernan helped us distribute thousands of copies in the early 1980’s. In 2008, during the economic meltdown, John called and strongly encouraged us to reprint the paper, which we did. Since then we have printed 200,000 copies and have sent them all over the world.

This month an evangelist was passing them out in Israel during the eight day war with Gaza. A woman was on vacation in Israel from South Africa. She picked up a copy and thought the events were actually happening. For a few moments she thought she had been left behind. She contacted us and we sent The Last Trumpet to South Africa so she could share them with friends and family.

I would humbly like to ask you a final question. Would it be easier for your friends and family to take a half an hour and read about the coming seven year tribulation or have a real life seven year nightmare? The four horsemen are about to ride. The Lord calls us to be watchman on the wall.

Janette from Missouri has been passing out the newspapers for awhile and I asked her how do people react when she gives them a paper and discusses it with them. This is what she said:

How are they reacting? Like a firecracker went off in their head! Some people who I talk to watch the world news, & many are shocked that these events are warned about in the Bible. I tell them where to look in the Bible.
Love the ‘space’ around the tank. I write in that space facebook pages & websites to go to, so they can read up on Biblical prophecy happening. I add my own tracts in with it, on how to be saved & stuff.
