I plan on rereading your book brother John.Things are at the point where we cannot go back, physically or spiritually. We can look back briefly at the good old times..but time is so short,as things seem to happen quickly, like domino’s you can’t stop…just have to let it play out.The ‘bear’ is hungry, and restlessness of nations are the order or should I say disorder of the day.Sexual deviants, druggies, little god’s in black robes [judges],fake presidents, fading morals, contempt for God and His Christ, freaky weather, signs in the heavens, and on earth….WoW…Look where we are folks. Now is the time to get prayed up,stand close to the Lord, witness like you won’t get another opportunity….because…the band is playing, and we could hear a trumpet blast………….God bless you brother John.and all my other brothers/sisters.Dan.w

@Dan … There are a few days when I do look back, but it’s not the same anymore, so I just don’t. I am really homesick .. I just want to go home !! I have no reason to stay here, because I know too much about where we are going. I pray every day that all the ones I love will be there too …. and all of you do the same, I know. The faces of people we pass in the stores or on the street are blank, or they look sad or angry. Everyone talks about how they are hurting, sick,or depressed. The darkness is overwhelming. ….. unless we have The Blessed Hope! “Exhort one another daily, while it is still “Today” lest your hearts be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin ” -Hebrews 3:13 . Jesus knew we would need to encourage and uplift each other in order to survive in these last days. To my brothers/sisters in Christ ; KEEP GOING … We are almost home! He will bring us through …
Not “somehow” but VICTORIOUSLY !! Can’t wait to meet all of you there …

Have you read this John? RAPTURELESS! AN OPTIMISTIC VIEW OF THE END OF THE WORLD! May be worth taking a look and testing.

  4. Norman says:

John – I know you do not claim to be a prophet, but I suspect many readers will feel just like the Jews after one of Jeremiah’s outbursts! After all, it’s Springtime, and there’s so much to do – sowing, and building and planning for the future, and so on. Even godly, spiritual plans too – there’s so much to do! And there are many loved ones who continue to be beyond our feeble reach. There should be no shame in having very mixed feelings about the things we perceive on the near horizon. Syria is a black hole, and Iran a smouldering volcano – and both are involved with Russia.
Concerning these world events, and those awesome maps, I have a number of East European colleagues. The other day I asked a young Pole who sits in the desk opposite, what he made of Mr Putin. All ears around us pricked up, as he said without hesitation, that this was history repeating itself – ‘Putin is like that little man in the 1930’s – only minus the moustache’ he said, with intense conviction. (His home town in Poland is just 16 miles from the Russian border, and the Baltic states, with their large Russian populations, had reason to fear that they’d be next – the outlet to the N. Atlantic being of such strategic importance to Russia.)
I have been overwhelmed with many things going on, but turned aside today to the Lord. I did not know what to pray, nor where to start.(That of course is the classic Romans 8:26 condition!) This is to encourage all who feel the same way, and may even feel a little cynical. From a dead start, I found myself declaring the Lord’s praises in the heavenlies because… why? Our Risen Lord is the Rightful Ruler of all things – and He is coming to reign – it just HAS to be! I told Him, ‘You are worthy, Lord! You have earned it – for you are Creator and Redeemer! – all that you went through for our sakes, all those prayers of intercession for us in heaven, too – you have surely earned your right to come and rule!’ I then declared the power of the Lord’s holy arm, flexing my own muscles in the process, rejoicing in the fact of His great power! All those situations we have laboured over for so long – turn them all over to Him now – He is mighty to save! Be all ‘prayed up’, as Dan says above.
Dear friends, I’m not sharing this to curry favour with anyone, but to encourage you to go to the Lord with all your concerns at this critical hour, and see what mighty prayers the Holy Ghost will effect, even out of every despondent heart! Amen

John, I know you’ve been asked this so often, but I have to ask whether or not you were going to post your observations about the blood moons? I’ve seen so many compelling commentaries on this subject that fall on both sides of the debate. Are you still planning to comment on this?

    • JohnMcTernan says:

Yes, most likely late next week.
I am studying everything about it.
I do believe that the timing is from the Lord regarding the wars coming with Israel and throughout the world.

  6. Janine says:

Looking for the blessed hope! Absolutely. Our pastors believe what he says in the raptureless book about Matthew 24 being fulfilled in 70AD and that there is no double fulfillment. They believe we should be always looking for Jesus coming and not the anti Christ! Amen to that!

    • JohnMcTernan says:

Sorry, but Matthew 24 was not fulfilled in 70AD.
The disciples asked the Lord three questions:
Matthew 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
Your pastor is ALL mixed up in understanding Matthew 24 and the three questions.
For example the abomination of desolation was not fulfilled in 70 AD as it is yet future.
Mat 24:15,16 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

Jesus did not return in 70AD, so Matthew 24 was not fulfilled. Or, does he believe Christ returned in 70AD?
Mat 24:29,30 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

BLOOD MOONS: In 2014 and 2015 there will be 4 blood moon total lunar eclipses all falling on feast days.
    1. Passover, April 15, 2014
    2. Tabernacles October 8, 2014
    3. Passover, April 4, 2015
    4. Tabernacles, September 28, 2015
What is significant about this? A tetrad of lunar eclipses on feast days has only occurred two times in the last 500 years; 1949/50, and 1967/68. During each of those tetrads of total eclipses Israel was at war.
    Genesis 1:14 (KJV)
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: TIME WILL TELL!

  8. John, I have been studying the 4 Blood Moons also, end times, etc. and love Israel . I keep “looking up” and am “ready.” So much to do, and so little time. (P.S. My heart has been gloriously healed.) Ordered 2 sets of Healing the Broken-hearted to be sent to family members. This is only the beginning. I pray the “Eagle” will quickly join the pro-Israel forces. Nothing is impossible with God. Meredith

Please post and tell us about the healing of your heart.
You can always come to blog talk radio and give testimony as the Lord
      gets the glory.
      God bless you.

Like all of you,I look forward to our heavenly home, and meeting you all there.Even though this world is fading fast, beauty can be found in the most unlikely places.God still moves.I’ve seen what He can do for someone who has tried every way but Him,then,in terrible straits….the light go’s on.For the first time, all the fluff and chaff are blown away, and it’s God and them.No distractions,no turning away..for where else is there to turn. The worlds lies have only left a hole with explanations and excuses many but not sufficient. We were all born with a hole that only Christ can fill.He put it there,so when He fills it up,it’s a perfect fit.He knows it,and we find that out. There are many trinkets in the world that vie for our attention…but the only One worthy of all our affection is Christ.Jesus paid it all..He paid it once.I,like all of you just want to do what He left me here now for, then, when we meet Him,just spend eternity saying thank you to Him…It might seem like a bore to some, but somehow,I think He won’t mind…God bless all of you,my friends,Dan.w

For your research – to test John: ???
…..We would argue that only ONE total lunar eclipse in all 12 total eclipses since 1949 could have had any significance because only one (2 April 1950) was seen from Israel. Please feel free to verify this via your own research!
Why put importance on the visibility of eclipses from Israel? Because if an astronomical event is to have significance, it must be sanctified from Israel. Think about it. There have been total lunar eclipses for thousands of years. All the astronomical events had to be visible from Israel, or they knew nothing about the event! No one could place significance on a total eclipse they did not see, and did not even know happened! Why would YHWH say in Genesis 1:14 that the sun, moon, stars were for “signs” if His people in the Land did not (or could not) SEE the sign?

  11. Janine says:

Thanks John. Re: the questions….. I still thinks it’s worth you having a look at the book.

    • JohnMcTernan says:

I really do not think it is worthwhile to read the book.
Your pastor does not understand the fundamental three questions that we asked of the Lord Jesus, which He is answering.
This is basic to understanding prophecy.
I think that you should listen to my teaching about the Blessed Hope found at: http://www.defendproclaimthefaith.org/Teachings.html
      I go into Matthew 24.
I think it would be good for you to compare the two teachings about the coming of the Lord Jesus for His bride.

John, you should find this interesting. It’s an alleged phone recording between 2 Russian ambassadors. They jokingly include a reference to invading Cali and Miami. They also make reference to Alaska.

As England held the first ‘homosexual’ marriage last Saturday, it is now being hit with a Saharan sand storm.

  14. Janine says:

Thanks John. I’ve read your teachings Thanks. raptureless.com certainly threw a spanner in the works regarding everything I thought about the end times. I love my Pastors, got to keep my mind on loving my Heavenly Father, His word and others. I am on a learning and growing journey just as my pastors are. The Holy Spirit is my best teacher and counsellor. Looking for our blessed hope. Bless you.

    • JohnMcTernan says:

Remember, the object of the Blessed Hope is the Groom coming for bride and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

  15. Janine says:

After reading your teaching on Matthew 24 John that you recommended I would appreciate you reading this short blog and giving some feedback. Blessings.

    • JohnMcTernan says:

I have little time to deal with preterists unless you are one seeking answers with an honest heart.
With there preterists there are never ending questions and twisting of the Bible to deny the reality that Israel is once again a nation, according to Bible prophecy: that Jerusalem is once again its
capital according to Bible prophecy, and all the end time events are lining up exactly as the Bible states it will.
Preterism is spiritual and intellectual suicide and denies the reality of Bible prophecy of Israel and Jerusalem restored EXACTLY as the Bible states it would.
This alone should end your dabbling in preterism. What more proof do you or any preterist need?
Once someone denies the truth of the Bible and goes into preterism, it is very difficult to come out of it. It appears that God seals this person into this error.

  16. Janine says:

Do the Blood Moons need to be visible from Israel? Are those at Refiners Fire missing the point? Is it not that events occurred on a day of an eclipse but that significant events happened during the time span that the eclipses covered?
