Once again, you bring things into clearer focus for me. Thank God for the discernment and understanding he has given you, and that you fearlessly proclaim the truth.

Obama and the social justice crowd will have their way,…crushing the economy, and be sure that the republicans,[who do have the power to stop it],will not,but cave in to Obama, and help us down the road to serfdom….Commies, marxists and the complicit ones…See why politics cannot solve anything?…….Only Jesus saves.Period.

A Chistian friend asked me why God would take Christians through these judgementsalong with the unsaved and doubted your premise. I believe this identifies an area of self righteousness that american christians have fallen into. Just wanted to hear your thoughts. In Christ.

    • JohnMcTernan says:

      You are 100 percent correct.
      Most don’t believe that God judges and do not walk in the fear of the God;
therefore they DO NOT INTERCEDE BEFORE THE LORD.
They become part of the problem.
I run into this all the time.

  6. On the subject of will Christians be here during the tribulation, if you say you are a Christian and you voted for abortion, gay pride, and tossing Israel under the bus, will the God of Israel send you to the New Jerusalem? What does Christian mean to an Israeli after the results of the election? While America is going under and the world is coming together against Israel, what are churches taliking about?

    • Cindy says:

      Hot tubs and boycotting Israel.

    • Mary E. says:

The Christians to which you refer are those that Jesus directly addresses as the church of Laodicea in Rev.3:14. To save time, you can read for yourself and you will see the end result of their actions.
If you are a regular reader of this blog, then you will see that John spends a tremendous amount of time addressing the Church,in general and their lack of a Holy Fear of the Lord. Marvin, there is a remnant, who fear God and love Israel,as you will see on this comment section. We will never turn our backs on Israel or it’s people. God bless you!

  7. Norman says:

Re#8: Yesterday’s BBC report on the reaction to the Church of England’s vote on women bishops shows exactly what the apostate church is about. Public reaction was largely hateful, but if you want to hear the voice of the faithful remnant, you have to read the ‘lowest rated’ comments! The C of E also recently voted to censure Israel. Its so sad to see all this, but it all shows that Jesus is coming very, very, soon! Long ago, a dear old man I knew, a few days before he died, said he found he could now only pray The Lord’s Prayer. That’s about how I feel now, too: ‘Thy Kingdom come Lord, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven’ Yet, I will be open to pray as he leads.

  8. Janine says:

Yeah, why don’t I hear of any churches speaking of end times, holiness, righteousness and judgement anymore. All I hear are messages on grace, prosperity and blessings. Righteousness is spoken of like its just a mental ascent! In the Hebrew it is actually a verb! Where is the fear of The Lord? Is this the church of Laodocea spoken of in Revelation? Oh dear.

    • JohnMcTernan says:

This is what I am up against in my ministry.

      • Cindy says:

So are we all in almost all churches. Fight the good fight, keep the faith, finish the course. I am sure you have heard of Rabbi Jonathan Cahn of The Harbinger and Keonig’s Eye to Eye, Facing the Consequences of Dividing Israel. There are a chorus of voices, though a small minority.

    • Cindy says:

The modern church is a paganized, spineless, whited sepulchre, not nearly full of dead people. Laodicea is a good description. You have to search high and low, far and wide, to find a gathering of true believers. Still, a remnant does remain. A small minority.

    • Patrice says:

I was listening to Jonathan Cahn on the Jim Bakker Show last week and Jonathan Cahn said; “There were 25 Million EVANGELICALS across the United States voted for Obama”…I don’t know where he got this number, but WOW!!! How can you be a Christian and vote for Obama, UNBELIEVABLE!!!

  11. Janine says:

Oh the times we live in John – …David Wilkerson had a series of visions and angelic visitations from the lord during his life time until his death in 2011, about the coming collapse of the U.S. economy and the destruction of America. In the economic collapse there will be riots and fires all across major cities in this nation. This will be a time of great apostasy and persecution in the church like never before. After the economic collapse of the United States the nation will be at its weakest point. A hydrogen holocaust will then sweep this nation in a Russian invasion of America. When Israel sees the destruction of America Russia will try to invade the Holy Land where 5/6th of the army’s of Russia will be destroyed by Jesus himself.

  12. People use the identifing word “Christian” to liberally these days. Further, just because someone says they are a “Christian” does not make them perfect. When someone asks me if I am a “Christian” I say no. I say that I am a follower of Jesus Christ. There is a big difference in trying to be like Yeshua and just believing in Yeshua.

Moreover, believers have become soft in standing up for what is right. They are worried about having a little conflict or hurting someone’s feelings by standing up for the truth. Apathy has taken its hold in America and we are not far from bondage.

Cry unto the Lord your God for mercy. Pray for the leaders of this country and the world. Pray for the peace of Israel. Pray to be found worthy when that time comes. Pray for the preachers doing the hard work in these hard times.

  15. Patrice says:

Just like Syria & Iran are instigating the Gaza conflict… So is our own GOVERNMENT sabotaging our ECONOMY on PURPOSE to forge the ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT!!! I believe our own government is going to be involved with the destruction of the United States of America, (launching missiles into major cities and on major Defense Plants… Please see that on our own 10 dollar bill there (The Globalist Elites, the Illuminati) next target is the Hoover Dam) why, because they can’t get pass our Constitution and how it stands for the American people… So they are going to bring America to it’s knees through an ECONOMIC MELT DOWN via the destruction of these missiles on major cities, defense plants, and the Hoover Dam…Watch and Pray!!!

  16. John: Amid all this news that we are watching and actually wanting even more details, we must still be thankful to our Lord for so many things. At this time I think we should be most thankful for His promises to be with us in any situation! Ever since my husband passed away 10 years ago, I personally have been made even more aware of how he loves, leads, protects, and even takes charge of the smallest details of our lives when we have put our trust (and obedience) in Him.

John, I am praying that you and your family have a wonderful day tomorrow and that God will continue to bless and protect you!

    Psalm 91:4 (KJV)
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

It’s difficult to work out who your replys are too John without you putting the name.

  18. Hello Mr. McT.
I dont trust Hamas and now they want the Gaza boarders open. I hope Israel does not give in to that. I think they will be setting themselves up.
I dont know what all Hamas wants but I did not hear any thing about giving them Jersusalem. I feel this is not really over and things could start again. I just hope Israel is not in for a surprise with Hamas.

  19. Janine says:

Found this quote – what do you make of the cease fire John?: “Pillar of Defense (Cloud)” – Israel & Hamas Agree to Gaza Cease Fire
“They are just getting warmed up!
Israel needs it’s backdoor cleaned, and that is gaza. They need gaza, for the coming conflict with Iran”

  20. Janine says:

    Re; Ceasefire
The scripture that comes to mind is in 1 Thess.
“When they shall say, “There is peace and quiet”, then suddenly destruction shall arise upon them as labor pains upon a pregnant woman, and they shall not escape”.

  22. I was told 1-2 days ago, in one of the US news channel, Oliver North, a combat-decorated U.S. Marine and counterterrorism expert said something to the extent of US said to Israel if they do not stop the fighting, US will not supply the artillery, ammunitions needed for Israel to continue, and this supposedly is “under table”. I do not know the exact words North said and if this is true, this is really unfair for Israel.

    • JohnMcTernan says:

    • Pam says:

I saw it and that is what North said.

      • Thanks for confirming this Pam!

Did you remember if it was Fox News that North was on when he said that?

I don’t expect the other liberal and slanted news media to broadcast pro-Isreal news?

If indeed Israel can’t exercise her rights to defend itself against terrorists pounding them with missiles because of such tactics deployed by the Obama administration to withhold artillery and ammunition, that is despicable and detestable, isn’t it?

  23. TJ says:

Hamas was just plan A. I am sure we will see a plan B, C, D. God has used Obama, Egypt and Hillary to show grace and mercy and delay the hammer that will surely fall on Egypt and the Palestinians. This truce could be in answer to the prayers of the saints to help Israel. While it may not last long, we need to be completly dependent on the Lord to use this truce for His purposes. Never underestimate the Lord and how He answers prayers. God is wonderous in His ways.

  24. Janine says:

FYI: John – on the iPhone you can’t see who you are saying ‘true’ and ‘no’ to. Keep up the good work – good and faithful watchman of the Kingdom!

  25. Janine says:

“Obedience fuels the relationship that blood purchased!
Save by grace to obey by love”

  26. I think Israel failed to achieve the expected goal by acepting a ceasefire deal with the Hamas.
But by mine own estimation, the truce is just temporal and in no distance time the conflict resume as Iran will try to re-supply them weapons.
    God bless u bro John.

  27. Norman says:

Yes, TJ, I certainly agree with you. In political terms, its called diplomacy, and we all have to practice it in this world, just as Paul did, before the Roman rulers of his day. What you say fits with 1 Tim 2:1-8 – of which we should weigh every word. He was speaking of some pretty nasty worldly ‘kings’, too. We can certainly discern the overall last-days trends, and begin to look up towards our redemption. But there’s still time to pray, which the Scripture says is ‘good and acceptable’. For ‘God our Saviour’ ‘will have all men to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth’, namely: ‘There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time’. That time is almost due! Meanwhile, a little peace and quietness is to be welcomed – ‘that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life, in all godliness and honesty.’ May the Lord keep us faithful in this till the end, as we hold out his words of eternal life! Remember: ‘Supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks’ for ‘all men’. ‘For kings and all who are in authority.’ Amen?

Obama had to be elected to bring about All nations turning against Israel. Romney, or Mc Cain would not have welcomed the terorrist group The Muslim brotherhood in to the White House. Or supported the so called move to Democracy called the Arab Spring!!

  30. Hope says:

Since none of us know the day or the hour, we’re all just guessing anyway. Only the Lord knows for sure the way everything will work out in the end. As for us, we’ll just have to wait and see.
But what we Can do, (besides keeping our own vessels clean) and what we’re commanded to do, is to pray for those in authority so that we can live in peace and quiet.

Even though Paul thought the Lord could come back at any time, the coveted goal was still peace, in order for them to be able to spread the Gospel unhindered. That should be our goal too, and the desire of our heart-Peace.
It’s good to pray for those in the federal and local government to know and to do God’s will, and that many of them will come to know Jesus Christ as their Saviour. How much easier would it be, if we just voted for Christians in the first place? How much better it is for Christians to hold positions of authority instead of leaving it to unbelievers. That’s why we should encourage Christians who have a desire, to get involved with the political process rather than discouraging them from even trying. Seems much easier then voting in unbelievers and then praying they’ll be saved, Amen?

HOPE You All Have a Happy Thanksgiving Everybody!

  32. B. Ross says:

Hi John, Sitting here this Thanksgiving morning (by the way, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family) and thinking about Israel, God brought to my remembrance ‘Ariel Sharon’. I then googled “Where is Ariel Sharon” and came across this short but interesting video. We all know that he had a stroke and fell into a coma shortly after giving away Gaza, but there is not much, if any, talk about him. As one who loves to study prophecy, this video mentions some things very interesting concerning the ‘death of Ariel Sharon’ and what it could possibly mean. He does make his point very probable. Please check it out. What are your thoughts on this?

    God Bless!

    • Pat says:

The Jews lost their 1st and 2nd temple on the same day, Av 9. That day is a Day of Mourning for the Jews and they observe it annually. Ariel Sharon, a secular Jew not a religious Jew, required the Jews to leave their Gaza homes on that day. The religious Jews pleaded with him not to do it on that day but to do it on some other day. Sharon refused to listen to them. So when he went through with it they cursed him. “We curse you Ariel Sharon! We curse you!”

    • Pat says:

Tisha B’Av, also known as “The Ninth of Av,” is a fast day that commemorates the destruction of the two Temples. It also happens to be the day that many other calamities have befallen the Jewish people, some of which are listed below:

•587 BCE (3338)- The First Temple is destroyed by the Babylonians, led by Nebuchadnezzar. The Jews are sent into what later became known as the Babylonian Exile.

•70 CE (3830)- The Second Temple is destroyed by the Romans, led by Titus.

•135 CE (3895) – The Romans defeat Bar Kochba’s last fortress, Betar, and destroy his army. Bar Kochba himself is killed along with more than 100,000 other Jews. The Roman Emperor Hadrian turns Jerusalem into a Roman city.

•1290 (5050) – King Edward I of England signs an edict expelling all Jews from England.

•1492 (5252) – The Alhambra Decree takes effect, expelling the Jews from Spain and from all Spanish territories.

•1914 (5674) – World War I begins when Germany declares war on Russia, setting the stage for World War II and the Holocaust.

•1940 (5700) – Himmler presents his plan for the “Final Solution” to the Jewish problem to the Nazi Party.

•1942 (5702) – Nazis begin deporting Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto.

  33. Grace says:

Jesus mentioned that the birth pains begin with earthquakes and famines around the world. Could they all happen in one day?
Matt. 24:7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. Matt. 24:8 All these are the beginning of birth pains. Matt. 24:9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.
The key point here is that Matt 24:7-9 states this is the beginning of it all. It would almost seem to imply that it could happen all in one day. Jesus distinguishes between Nations and Kingdoms. He even keeps them singular in the text. Implying there will be one specific nation against another and one specific kingdom against another.
Could these two nations that will be at war be the nation of Islam (Ishmael) against the nation of Israel (both houses of Jacob through Isaac)? Could these two kingdoms be the kingdom of Satan against the Kingdom of God?

  34. B. Ross says:

Sorry John, I forgot to put the link for this video that I had mentioned earlier (comment #56). Here it is:

    • Pat says:

I wondered if Rabbi Kaduri ever accepted JesusChrist he saw in His visions as His Messiah?

      • B. Ross says:

I have often thought about this as well; if Kaduri ever accepted Jesus Christ. I mean, could you imagine! Here is a Rabbi, who lived to be 108 years old, and is a Kabbalist of all things, who writes this letter and instructs those involved NOT to open it until a year after his death. Then when they open it they see the name Yehoshua! Could you imagine the look on their faces and what was said!

  35. Pam says:

  36. Nancy says:

B Ross, It is interesting you bring up Ariel Sharon, as I have often thought about him wondering what is really going on and it has come to me different times perhaps he will be the antichrist!

    Only God knows for sure!!

  37. dan wessel says:

    Before my birth
    I always was
I built the world to enter in
    And breathed life into you.
Many expected to see me at the top of the stairs,
    They themselves made.
Passing through servants quarters,I touched you,and all those I love,

  39. Janine says:

JUST SOME THOUGHTS: “The 21st of Dec. this year happens to fall on the 10th day of the 10th month of the hebrew calendar this year. If you don’t know the significance of that, consider …
2Kings 25:1 ¶ So in the ninth year of Zedekiah’s reign, on the tenth day of the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon marched against Jerusalem with his whole army. He encamped outside the city and built siege works all around it.
They didn’t invade. They surrounded it.
Ezek. 24:1 ¶ In the ninth year, in the tenth month on the tenth day, the word of the LORD came to me:
Ezek. 24:2 “Son of man, record this date, this very date, because the king of Babylon has laid siege to Jerusalem this very day.
    Will history repeat?

  40. Norman says:

Don’t wish to be unkind, but these videos give me the creeps! They just show how sad, and how dark religion can be, not much different from Rome! Come, lets keep in the wonderful light we have in Christ Jesus, and walk in Him!
“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all” 1 Jn 1:5
