A prayer request: A 32-year-old Christian man, Amir, was recently sentenced to death for being caught in Iran with a truckload of Bibles. He’s been in prison for two years now, but his execution date was just set for Tuesday, August 12, for his crimes against Islam and the government. His family is asking for prayers of deliverance.

We know our God is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abiding in steadfast love. We also know He hears and answers the prayers of His followers. And He is in the miracle-making business!

This prayer request comes from Iran Alive Ministries, which is doing a remarkable work in reaching the people of Iran with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Brian, I will remember to pray for him, what great sacrifice this man made to get the word of God through and help others find Jesus as there savior.

  4. Barbara in VA says:

Brian, will certainly be praying for Amir!

John: Thank you so much for adding the communion service to your Thursday night prayer program. Praise the Lord!

    1 Corinthians 11:23-25 (KJV)

23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

Maranatha! God bless all of us.
