Mind activity under a fMRI
Scientists now are able to identify through fMRIs the actual control that sin has over the mind! When a person is addicted to pornography, a certain section of the mind lights up.
Sin has a direct impact on the brain thought process. It is possible for a person to be taken over by sin, for it then rules their life. People can become slaves to sin.
The Bible states that sin is a force or law that operates in our body which brings us into captivity to it.
Sin cannot be defeated other than by God’s way, which is through repentance and God’s power.
It is impossible to defeat sin with anything other than God’s Holy Spirit and invoking the name of Jesus in prayer.
Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Notice that sin takes over the mind. It is sin that takes over, and people are not born this way. Alcoholics, drug addicts, homosexuals, etc. were not born with these thought patterns. As a person gives in to sin, it then grows within them and takes over the mind.
Jesus Christ came to free us from the power of sin.
John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Wow! Brain scans might become part of ACA. It might be used against people…just sayin.
Can I give a quick health update? My daughter has been lethargic most of her life from a sluggish thyroid. We started taking the Iodoral and can I just say she is a completely different child! Energetic, able to process…we believe it is quite miraculous! Not quite as enthusiastic about coconut yet. Always take it with food or you might regret it! A few days ago, we had a friend ask, “what is that I smell? Coconut?” It must be from our skin!
We have also been eating honey and cinnamon coated dates every morning (we even give it to our dog). Allergies are minimal, no sniffles, and my dog is acting youthful again! Dates should be added to your health blog. Those things are incredible.

This information about porn affecting one’s brain is totally accurate. The man, his last name Castro, who imprisoned those 3 young women for 10 years admitted at one of his hearings that he was “addicted to porn”. He attributed his crime to this addiction. I distinctly heard him say this, but of course it was never played again. Also, another well-known criminal who was addicted to porn was Ted Bundy. This information just scratches the surface as porn is more readily available today and easily accessed with the touch of a keystroke.
Hi: I consider coconut oil to be God’s miracle food. Too many benefits to list–just “google” it. It is also supposed to be good for the brain! God is so good to provide us with such a food that so far as I know has not yet been tampered with by “man”.

I know this from personal experience. I will just add one thing in addition to what John said in the first sentence; total surrender to God’s Will paves the way for whatever the sin is to be defeated. Praise God for His love and patience as He waits for us to recognize His power over sin in our lives! Thank you John for this

Interesting post John. Proof that sin isn’t always material or physical as the naturalist would like to suppose. Porn doesn’t have material existence, it’s just a representation of something which also is quite materially addictive.
Love to see the sidebar comments on minimally processed natural food. If big ag/media promote it you can be certain it’s unhealthy.
Since our daughter was born with a brain defect and has multiple diabilities, we have learned abou the brain. If you look at the back of the brain, it’s all lite up. This is called the occipital region of the brain (both sides). This processes vision.
I’m not surprised that the occiptal region of the brain is lite up. Males are visually oriented. So I suspected this region is very well developed more than womenn’s.
