Verse of the Day
Zechariah 1:14 So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.
Commentary
This verse shows God’s eternal love for Jerusalem. Zion can mean the Temple Mount, Jerusalem and the nation. This has never changed as God says that He is actually jealous about Jerusalem. Israel is once again in existence just as the Hebrew prophets stated would happen. God is now focusing on Jerusalem as He did in ancient days. The prophecies about Jerusalem are literal, as the literal Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ will be to Jerusalem and the Jewish people. His Second Coming is just as literal as His First coming.
I am still feeling my way around Word Press. It takes time to get a handle on the layout. What I will be doing is instead of one big posting, I am going to make a posting of each heading like: Israel and the Middle East War, Floods, Famines, Fires, and the Hard Left.
Notice that the logo dates to 1908. Probably back in 1908 the majority of the Methodists believed the Jews would return to the land, the rebirth of Israel and Jerusalem would once again be the capital. Now that it is happened this denomination is riddled with unbelief being passed off as fairness, justice and human rights.
The Methodists and Presbyterians are soon voting to disinvest from Israel. This is all part of the Left’s attack on Israel, and I would say the authority of the Bible. They refuse to believe the rebirth of Israel has anything to do with Bible prophecy. This is powerful unbelief that is merging them with Islam. The Muslims do not believe the Bible and hold the same position. Because of this rebellion against God prophetic word, the replacement theology adherents are slowly but surely merging with Islam. Many of them even use the same rhetoric as the Muslims. God is merging them in their unbelief.
Anti-Israel Christians Pray for Divestment 04/18/12 The divide between those that believe the Bible and those that spiritualize away the literalness of the scriptures is really starting to manifest.
“The theological questions can be tricky for us,” the conference call’s host admitted. “It is one of the ways people try to divide us because indeed we do have supporters among evangelicals, classic liberals, and people with an understanding of Israel as some kind of continuation of Ancient Israel as well as those who see Israel as simple another state within the community of nations.” He urged unity behind the “simple fact that people we care about are being hurt, abused, and human rights violated,” all by Israel. “I have a very conservative colleague here in West Ohio, we both have a very different theological framework but we both seem to agree about the oppression of Palestinians,” he added.”
May the Holy God of Israel bless and protect you.
Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Teaching of the Week
Each week I am going to post one of my teaching. This is one of my favorites as it really gives grounding in the Blessed Hope, the Lord Jesus coming for His church, and why we should live in our hearts with the imminent return of the Lord Jesus.
Looking for The Blessed Hope (The Coming of the Lord Jesus For His Church)
I was just reading in the book,”Bonhoeffer”tonight and was surprised to find that the Presbyterian church,in1939,was considered fundamentalist by the liberal churches of that time. Having attended a Presbyterian church many years ago,I became alarmed by the liberal influences that were over taking that particular church,so I left. That was over 30 years ago. It didn’t take long for them to fall apart from 1939 to the present day.
While I know from Scripture that these things must happen—there shall be a great falling away and even the most elect shall be deceived—-this knowledge does not keep my heart from breaking—-praying for Israel and the True Peace of Jerusalem
