“The energy, the near-record low pressure in the storm’s core and its huge dimensions added up to an inevitable disaster. That’s why they’re basically forecasting Armageddon when it goes inland.” Bill Read, meteorologist, tracking Hurricane Katrina, August 28, 2005.” Commentary
This is the five year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. This storm was directly connected to President George Bush Jr. pressuring Israel to evacuate the Jews out of Gaza. The following article tells what was happening meteorologically with the storm, and how it exploded from a tropical depression to a monster category 5 hurricane in a few days. This is important to show how fast judgment can come upon America when dealing with Israel.
Five Years After: Hurricane Katrina Began as Unassuming Tropical Depression 08/23/10 “Tropical depressions are common in the Atlantic Ocean during the annual summer-fall hurricane season. So there was nothing unusual when the 12th one of the season formed exactly five years ago in the southeastern Bahamas. And there was nothing unusual when the storm strengthened as it headed west, escalating rapidly from tropical depression to tropical storm to a hurricane named Katrina. And there was nothing unusual when it blew across southern Florida as a low-level storm and killed 12 people four days later. But when Katrina became a Category 5 hurricane — a potentially catastrophic menace in the Gulf of Mexico — it was clear it was no ordinary storm.”
On September 2, Obama is going to once again pressure Israel to divide the land. The focus is going to be divide Jerusalem. America has been warned and warned by the God of Israel to leave Israel alone. The American government and the church have not heeded these warnings.
It depends how much pressure that Obama puts on Israel, but the judgment could once again be as severe or worse than Hurricane Katrina. Obama has focused on Jerusalem, which creates the potential for awesome judgment. The mere fact they are meeting in Washington, DC with the US behind this conference is frightening. When looking at God’s history in dealing with America, I can only hope for mercy from the LORD.
The following are a few excerpts from my book As America Has Done to Israel making the connection to what America was doing to Israel at the time of Hurricane Katrina.
August 2005 “After President Bush and Israeli Prime Minister Sharon met in April 2005, Sharon set a timetable to begin the withdrawal from the 25 settlements. Starting in August, the Israelis planned to withdraw from 21 settlements in Gaza and four in Samaria. On August 16, the Israelis began the process. By August 23, the Israeli government completed the withdrawal removing approximately 10,000 Jews from the covenant land.
President Bush and Secretary of State Rice put enormous pressure on the Israeli government to evacuate these 25 settlements. The United States and Israeli governments were negotiating $1.2 billion in aid to help relocate the settlers. The removal of all Jews from Gaza was the first step in President Bush’s plan to establish a Palestinian state next to Israel.
On August 22, the Israelis removed the last of Jewish settlers from Gaza, while on August 23 they removed the last settlers from Samaria. The removal of the settlers took a mere seven days to complete. President Bush was extremely happy with the Israeli withdrawal from the 25 settlements. He mentioned the Israeli withdrawal in speeches on August 22 and 23. In the speech on August 22, he acknowledged the closing of the settlements caused pain, but called it historic.
In a speech on August 23, the President again praised Prime Minister Sharon for his “courageous decision to withdraw from Gaza and parts of the West Bank.” He felt this was the beginning of the creation of the State of Palestine.
On August 23, just as Israel removed the last settler, tropical depression 12 formed over the Bahamas and upgraded to a tropical storm named Katrina. Katrina grew rapidly in power and on August 24 and upgraded to a category one hurricane. On August 25, Katrina hit southern Florida doing about $1 billion in damage. Katrina then weakened over Florida and was downgraded to a tropical storm.
The connection between the United States government pressuring Israel to destroy 25 settlements on the covenant land, and Katrina’s destruction, is so obvious. The hurricane destroyed Southern Louisiana and the Gulf Coast of Mississippi merely six days after the completion of the Gaza evacuation of Jews off the covenant land.”
I recommend that you read my book, as I go into great details about what America was doing to Israel at the time of Hurricane Katrina. This is just one of the dozens of links that I show in the book. I also show details in my DVD: America and the Day of the LORD.
