I did home health care for years and saw what drugs can do,it is so sad.The written word takes a back seat when people are under the influence. The Strongs Concordance says it better than I ever could.
PHARMAKEIA this word means witchcraft, magic, the use of spells & potions of magic often INVOLVING DRUGS…..Yes it actually says this, and it was clearly seen in my workplace.God’s word is strongly opposed to this!!Be Strong Church!.I’m Looking Up,this world has no peace to offer only Our Father can heal all who come to him in sincerity and truth.Just as a couple of posts back Johns passage was….We are dead and our life is hid in Christ, and that is the ONLY place I want to be!

      Julia,
I agree,I see it,too. One thing I will add to your well said statement is,the use of drugs instills rebellion, fear, and paranoia. These are difficult to get past, when you are trying to minister to someone about God’s love and salvation.

      • Julia says:

Good to see someone understanding the effects of drugs. Then there’s the question if you are going into a situation if it’s drugs or is the rebellion just their personality.I will clarify.I’ve known the sweetest of people and when they are given some meds will turn into the most violent oppsite person they truly are. Then we have Ezekiels commission who flat out was told he was being sent to a rebellious nation of people who are impudent(hard headed) and stiffhearted.Ezekiel Chap 2……Without the Holy spirit(We are given not the spirit of fear, but a sound mind). That’s where the wonderful spirit of discernment helps a great deal.To God Be The Glory!

EXCITING TESTIMONY FROM A MISSIONARY REGARDING THE MIND! BE ENCOURAGED! ‘GREATER IS GOD IN YOU THAN HE THAT IS IN THE WORLD’!
“The soul (mind with its reasoning, logic and intellect, its emotions, and will that decides based on the input of the reasoning) is earth bound. It contacts the world through the five senses. It is limited by emotions, by the availability of good input, and fleshly feelings, which stem from the seat of its sin-prone nature. The soul works through the brain and fleshly desires to satisfy “self”. We need it to function in this world, but need to keep it bridled by the spirit.
The spirit, on the other hand, in the center of us—stomach, reproductive, bowels area–if re-born by the Spirit into a “new creation”, is a portal to the realm of the eternal. Then it has a “the mind of Messiah”–the mind of God. It is there that He speaks to us–comforts us, instructs us, teaches us, and leads us. It is through this portal that we enter another dimension–His dimension–where we “sit with Him in heavenly places”, where we “abide under the shadow of the Almighty”.
One day I was teaching with all my heart to a group in Tanzania. As I was speaking, the Spirit began speaking in my spirit, giving me revelation to give to the people. While my voice kept giving Scripture and teaching from my mind, I was carrying on a conversation in my spirit with the Spirit. When He finished, I stopped, and said to the people: “Father has just given me a revelation to give to you”. I gave it, and they jumped up shouting and rejoicing!
When I had the malaria and almost died in Tanzania in 1997, and could not remember my own name, nor could I sit up for even a few seconds, yet I was able to preach, propped up with pillows, to a large congregation. I heard the Spirit speaking in my spirit and I repeated what He said, the translator translating. I went on like that for 2 hours in 3 different meetings. I didn’t know what I was saying, for my mind was gone, but my spirit was alive.
Romans 8:5-9: “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit mind the things of the Spirit. For the mind of the flesh is death. But, the mind of the Spirit is life and peace. The mind of the flesh is at enmity against God, for it does not subject itself to the teachings of God. Neither indeed is able. And those who are in the flesh are unable to please God”.

I was thinking about all you guys and gals on this site that love the truth in Christ Jesus. It occurred to me, the hard left hate our U.S. constitution and us born again Christians being here, about as much as the Muslims hate the Jews being in Jerusalem. Then my thoughts switched to Rev.17:4 the scarlet harlot, this worlds system that satan is the god of. Rev.18:9-20 and Rev. 17:15.Then it came to me,this is the system satan brought together in order to take worship away from God.Now that he thinks the time is at hand to sit in Jerusalem and claim to be God,he can’t have this same system in place any longer that might take worship away from him also. So he has to get rid of it at the proper time.Rev.17:16-17. Seems that time might be now.

I was a young Christian (Just got saved) and tried to get counsel from some preachers and etc. They did point to read more of the Bible but didn’t go against taking anti-depressants. Sadly, stayed on them for 20 something years. A lot of my problems stemmed from broken heart as a child and being provoked to anger by abusive dad as a child. I was not brought up in church as a child. So, I know Dr. John understands the problems of abuse here. I seem like I lost 20 something years of my life having my feelings pushed down and numbed by anti-depressants. Thank the Lord Jesus He’ is Jehovah Ralpha and my Healer. He knew my heart and set me free in 2010 from such drugs. I can’t explain the damage it done to my brain–hard to explain. I’m still thanking the Lord for His Faithfulness to me and His love and help when other walked away from helping me. I can and will help others’ that are in the same situation I went through when I was 20 years old and put on those drugs. God bless .

Being under the influence of drugs is like handing your mind over to a mad man….no promise you will get it back.In the late sixties early seventies, drugs were all around me as a youth. When I saw what it did to those who ‘partook’,it was very scary. All of you out there, hold tight…Jesus has got everything handled.I enjoy and learn from all these posts.Keep up the fine work family in Christ,Dan.w P.S. thanks Brother John.

Barbara in VA. hasn’t been able to open the comment section on her computer. She asked that this be posted. It is an article about one of the candidates running for President in the Czech Republic, one of the few countries in Europe who back Israel.

Janine,That’s a very good article. Thanks for sharing it! May I add a little to it. That spirit connection with God is what was lost when Adam and Eve ate what they shouldn’t have. Our souls took over our lives instead of the spirit. The fear of death entered in also. Thank you Jesus for giving us a chance to restore our relationship by becoming , born again of the Holy Spirit. Then also, we’re no more subject unto the fear of death. Her 2:14-15. 1st Cointhians 12is a good read for all of us.The joy of The Lord to you.

This is the world without God, for after that in the wisdom of God they new not God, where is the scribe, the scolar , the disputer of this age God hath made foolish the wisdom of this world, it pleases God by the folishness of preaching to save them that believe, the flesh is totally depraved and wants nothing to do with God which the world does not understand , God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the wise, to God be the glory, its not about us it’s about HIM, in name of Yeshua

Thank you, Abba, for Your Word.

I have been away from home for 2-1/2 weeks. Have not been reading/studying my Bible as I usually do. I knew this was going to happen when I left home. I am an anxious person and the anxiety was coming back. From the world’s view, I could see why people want drugs to help them cope. From a Christian view, I knew how God has helped me in the past, and how He continues to protect my mind in the present, when I read and trust His Word. I have generalized anxiety from my childhood. We all have something. All I know is ~ when I am in regular Bible study, here at home, I feel calm and protected by the Arms of God. When things come up, I handle them better. I know my Redeemer lives. I know He cares about me…about all of you.

I am not judging anyone who takes medication. But I believe that a great many mental problems are caused by the stress of living in this world, exposure to sin, exposure to ‘worldliness’ that offers nothing but a fancy vacuum. Belief in Jesus Christ and a love for His Word is a powerful medicine for a broken mind and heart.

Julia Hi,I know this is a subject that many don’t like to talk about, but I have dealt with quite a few people who were being pestered by demons. They run to drugs alcohol or shrinks to get per. Drugs. With some of them it took a while to get to the bottom of it. Once they started running to the word instead especially the psalms , then they opened up more to listening about the whole truth. Most of them needed to here, yes, demons are real, they are everywhere, and they hate us.These were co-workers and friends ,nothing professional on my part.Just love for them and given what I needed from The Lord to accomplish his purpose.I know they are real, during these times I cast out demons, battled different ranks of them, was face to face with them, had them move to attack me instead of the person I was helping. But I had on the armor of light, the lords counsel, and Holy angels protecting me.I think this is overlooked all to often, and now we’re to the point in this country , that people are afraid to talk about it, because they might get labeled nuts themselves. For the masses it’s probably to late, but if someone is put before me that needs help I will continue to tell the truth.

Julia, and John, my last post was not ment to be an argument. It was ment to be added to your great testimony ,and commentary. They enspired me to open up about it.Of course, not all cases involve demonic activity. All could be helped by putting their hand in the hand of the man who stilled the waters, as that song goes. Gods strength as needed to you all.

  12. Julia says:

Yes Ryan I completely agree that demons exist and that if one does not read the word they are continually being set up by the enemy which is satan. It Is Written:Submit yourselves therefore to God.Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.Draw nigh to God,and he will draw nigh to you.Cleanse your hands,ye sinners; and purify your hearts,ye double-minded.(James 4 V 7&8)But people need an immediate answer and are impatient to wait on the Lord.I really like that you spoke of the psalms,I never miss a day without reading there–it is so peaceful and a comfort to know David went through many trials as we do.I’m happy ryan now when people say that’s crazy Julia and I smile because I know those who are in Christ will suffer persecution.Jesus said: remeber they hated me before they hated you.God Bless You.

Mary E, Remember, when gardening, it takes someone to till the ground, plant the seed, water the future harvest, protect it, weed it,it takes lots of light, and time, then the final harvest. Sometimes a big harvest sometimes not so big. Sometimes the workers don’t get to see the harvest, but all along the way they learned to be better gardeners too. The lords work is never in vain. The lords word doesn’t return to him void. Don’t grow weary in doing good. We serve El Shadi. Shalom.

John McTernan,I’ve never talked about this before , but I value your opinion.I read the Good News Bible, and always follow with the King James.Does this seem sound to you? Thanks

    • JohnMcTernan says:

I would just stay with the KJB.
Try memorizing the KJB as that will really help you understand the Bible.

Thanks to all of you on here who gave your testimonies concerning drugs (alcohol too) and oh, how hard it is to be a soldier in the Army of God in these last days !! Especially for those who are doing this “straight up!!” Half the world & many of those we love turn to drugs/alcohol, but it tears families apart!! God can make a way where there seems to be no way. For me personally He has used Al-Anon and most recently Celebrate Recovery. Never judge someone for using these programs. They can most definitely help in getting someone turned around. I was born again & knew a lot of Scripture but it was thru a 12 Step program that I learned NOT to enable someone’s bad habits. It was also there that I learned to let God be God and step out of the way, so that He could rescue someone … not me! I thank Jesus today for everyone He put in my path to teach me His ways … & one of those is tough love. No matter how hard things seem ..keep going … we are almost home !!

Good day everyone, I feel like a sailor on an old wooden ship, heading home after a long and arduous journey. At the break of each new day, scanning the horizon, my hand over my brow, leaning forward,to and fro,up the mast to the crows nest, squinting, straining to see home.am I there yet?my soul is wrestles Lord,it’s almost like punishment to still be here, Pat my head Lord, put your hand on my shoulder Lord, wipe the tears from my cheeks Lord, take my hand and tell me it’s ok Lord. Just a little further,ok lord I’ll be still and know that you are God………….I love you!

John, Ok , I will. Thanks for your time!
