This world is so broken, it is very hard for me to celebrate the 4th of July or any other Holiday , because of our country and what it has become in these last days. Every day I wake up I’m expecting something terrible to happen to this country, does anyone else feel this?

  2. Sheri Olson says:

Yes, I too have that sense of uneasiness, waiting for the other shoe to drop, so to speak. I wonder how much longer can things keep going before the collapse. I think many people feel nothing bad can happen here, this is America. Unfortunately they may have a sad awakening. Thank you, brother John, for this site where we can meet together, and thank you to all the posters here who encourage me daily. Shalom. S.O.

One day after supposedly 1 million watched the Gay Pride parade in Chicago, torrential storms hit Chicago:

CHICAGO — The city and region were recovering Tuesday after a major storm that included torrential rains and hurricane-like winds brought havoc to two of the nation’s busiest airports and left thousands without power.

The storm system may have produced small tornadoes in areas south of Chicago, where there were widespread reports of downed trees and winds as high as 86 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service.

Parts of Interstate 190 near O’Hare International Airport were covered with as much as a foot of water Tuesday morning, plaguing commuters and travelers. With all but one lane of I-190 shut down, many travelers left their cars and tried to walk to the airport with their luggage

By 9 a.m., traffic on I-190 was back to normal, but the rest of the region continued to rebound from the storm.

By mid-morning, more than 200,000 residents were still without power, and some of the hardest hit areas were south and west of the city, according to ComEd spokeswoman Liz Keating. Power already had been restored to more than 165,000 customers.

At one point, Midway Airport registered nearly an inch of rain in just 7 minutes,

  4. Mary says:

Ah, sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are
corrupters they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and I will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same, none calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies;they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity. The way of the LORD is strength to the upright but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity. By mercy and truth iniquity is purged and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil..

Great blog post John, you do a wonderful job warning the people of impending judgment.. if they would only listen, possibly the LORD would hold back his judgment as he did with Nineveh. God Bless You 🙂

      Thanks for the blessing.
God wants His people’s eyes opened wide to what He is doing.

Mr McTernan, again very informative articles with interesting insight, I check this sight daily and appreciate your work. The storm this weekend interests me as it will affect two of the 13 original colonies on the birthday of our nation, doubt there’s anything to it, but it has the potential to be a serious storm so early in the season, just makes me wonder.

I feel it too, and have for sometime now. The late wonderful pastor Adrian Rodgers used to say, paraphrasing him, “that the days were getting dark, Gloriously dark.” He meant that the return of our precious Lord and Savior is getting very near!! Maranatha.

  7. Jim Smith says:

You need to remember that God choose each of us for THIS time. Yes, it’s scary at times to see what’s happening around us, but it’s also a blessing to have been born for such a time as this and to see prophecy happening before our very eyes. God has us hear right now for a reason. When all heck breaks loose, true Christians are the only people who are going to have the answer, and that answer is JESUS. We know how the story ends, what we don’t know is all the twists and turns that are going to happen to get us there.

  9. Lori says:

Joe, Yes I feel the same way so often, it is hard to celebrate this July 4th. I often say that I grieve for the old America, the America that use to honor God’s word. We are no longer a blessed nation as a whole for kicking Him out of our once great country….very sad! 🙁

In case you eat at Burger King…

Burger King’s new gay friendly burger:

SAN FRANCISCO, July 2 (UPI) — Burger King is trying to let its gay customers have it their way with a new sandwich called the “Proud Whopper.”

The gay-pride burger is being sold at one Burger King restaurant in San Francisco on Market Street through Thursday. The sandwich is served in a rainbow-colored wrapper that reads, “We are all the same inside.”

“It showcases who we are as a brand,” Fernando Machado, senior vice president of global brand management at Burger King, told USA Today. “It shows how we, as a brand, believe in self-expression.”

The Market Street Burger King sold Proud Whoppers last weekend during San Francisco’s gay pride parade and handed out rainbow Burger King crowns.

The burger sells for $4.29 and the only way it differs from the traditional Whopper is its wrapper.

Proceeds from the burger will be donated to scholarships for LGBT high school seniors graduating in 2015.

Burger King changes packaging to homosexual theme to attract them:

    Avoiding all Burger Kings now…..

  12. Gary G says:

and Gary makes three, I feel the same, both about the holiday’s and about our country

  13. Loretta says:

Yea Joe & John, me too!..I feel the same! Then I stop and say “Thank you Jesus” for the beauty and the peace which you have given me.
Our world has gone too far to turn back now. Only our Lord Jesus Christ can make the difference.

  14. Gary B says:

Joe, I too expect something bad to happen everyday. And usually, I’m disappointed that it does not. I keep hoping God will rain fire and brimstone on some of his biggest enemies, but he never does, and that always disappoints me. I am trying to learn to look at all the bad things happening as the fulfillment of scriptures like 1 Timothy 4:1-3, or II Timothy 3: 1-7, and be encouraged by the thought that Jesus is soon coming for his saints.

  15. Gary B says:

Cynthia, I refuse to eat at Burger King any more. They made their choice and they chose to side against God. You reap what you sow.

  16. Danielle says:

Great post Mary….on another note…has anyone considered isis, and a possible connection to isis in mythology?..She was married to osirius,is pictured as a mother/child figure, ect.I just put it out there because names and characters/themes sometimes repeat through history.Could part of the tie in be with world religions commonality..i.e.mother/child icons, ect.World religions must focus on simularities if they are to merge towards that soon one world religious system.Islam and Rome both revere Mary…just an idea…………

  18. Lori says:

I too just saw the video about Burger King and there promotion of homosexuality. I now would not consider ordering any food from them. It’s so sad 🙁

  19. Budi Darmawan says:

Its about the black flag. Its not the same with nazi flag. Everything still confusing now. Because its all about the future

    • JohnMcTernan says:

      I don’t see anything confusing.
The Nazi conquered under the Nazi flag and now the Islamic caliphate wants to
conquer the world under the black flag of Jihad.
The Muslims are going to come to the same end as the Nazis only worse.
