You’re so right on with these comments John. Wish others had your courage!

  2. Barbara in VA says:

I am so saddened by all of this! It is like “three strikes and you’re out”–our nation becoming Sodom, the killing of babies in the womb, and turning our backs on Israel–or even attacking Israel in subtle ways! What’s left to celebrate on July 4th?!

There is a heaviness in my spirit–no fear for me, for I know where my protection is–but a fear for all those around me who do not have a clue or could care less about what is happening. They don’t see that we are already living under a dictatorship, that there is no outcry from mainstream churches regarding national sin, and that those of us who are watching know that one day is coming soon when there will be a “bank holiday”.

I appreciate all my brothers and sisters in Christ who comment on John’s blog. You are my “church family” and I am so thankful for you and especially for our Chaplain, John McTernan. There are many scriptures to give us hope and confidence as we await the Blessed Hope, but this is my favorite:

    Psalm 91:3-5

    King James Version (KJV)

3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

    5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

  3. Katherine Magolske says:

Californians did vote to protect marriage. Our vote on proposition 8 went before the Supreme Court. Our Californis state governor and state attorney were supposed to defend the proposition 8 vote results when it was challenged. Governor Brown refused to do so stateing that he could not defend proposition 8 because it was not moral!!! So the Supreme Court ruled that the defenders of proposition 8, by California’s constitution, legally could only be defended by the governor and state attorney. The defenders had no legal right to appear before the Supreme Court and defend proposition 8. Californians DID vote a moral law into action. I pray that God, in his justice and mercy restores California to the beautiful state that He intended.

    • JohnMcTernan says:

What you fail to understand that the state voted Brown and the others in.
Your supreme court voted for it and the state legislature is overwhelming pro homosexual and abortion.
Your state is doomed unless the church rising up.
This in NOT political but spiritual.
The state of California and the Supreme Court reflect the spiritual state of the people.
Until you and the Christians understand this, there is now no hope for California or the US in general.

  4. Larry Cook says:

I Believe WE may Have Judgement An An Out Poring Of His Spirit At Same, Select Judgement and Select Out Poring larry

  5. Larry Crandall says:

You are right Brother John this is going to be bad for the United States. So many Christians won’t even talk about the judgement that is coming. They act like I am being negative and not honoring the Lord by talking about it. Watchmen are to warn and not comfort or coddle people. I know I have to speak up or be like salt that has lost it’s savor.

  6. Here is a bit of good news in the midst of all the bad news… Here are parts of the story from BBC
Pakistani girl falsely accused of blasphemy ‘in Canada’

A Pakistani Christian girl who was falsely accused of blasphemy has fled to Canada with her family, a Christian organisation says.

Rimsha Masih, aged 14, was detained in a maximum security prison for several weeks in August 2012, accused of burning pages from the Koran

The teenager has now settled in Canada with her family, although their exact location has not been made public.

A Christian activist in Canada told the BBC that the teenager was learning English and enjoying school. “They feel free,” he said.

  7. Darlene says:

John, I hope you will continue to speak up. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and I have seen the deterioration take place both physically and spiritually. I know many Christians who continue to vote for the ungodly liberals and who refuse to take a stand for morality. Our Pastors have been more interested in establishing mega churches and wealth for themselves rather than teaching the uncompromising Word of God. They tolerate sin in the camp. But God will not be mocked. What a man sows, he will reap.
    We trust in the Lord!

  8. Elsie Ray says:

Thank you so very much Dr. McTernan for your book and blogs. I loved your book. I literally couldn’t put it down and have been recommending it friends. God Bless you.

    • JohnMcTernan says:

I am so blessed that my book meant so much to you.
Please, make sure that you read my dad’s book, I Could Take His Punch.
It is great blessing to all who read it.

  9. Ryan Thomas says:

Barbara in VA, I have fallen asleep with those very verses on my lips. And He has, Delivered me many times, and comforted me too.
    Love to you.

  10. David says:

The very thought of celebrating July 4th this year seems odd. As I remind myself of the words of the Pledge of Allegiance, it no longer fits or describes our nation – one nation UNDER God…with liberty and justice for ALL. Our flag and God has been trampled on and rejected over and over and over again. I do not recognize our country anymore. Our voices are being snuffed out.. Our freedoms are being removed systematically. Division within our nation by the elite is being forced upon all of us. My heart is heavy. Turning back to God and surrendering our hearts to Jesus Christ is the only protection anyone will have moving forward. Don’t wait too long, time is running out.

  11. Lori says:

John, I want to thank you for always reminded us “not to take our eyes off of Jesus”. I am truly thankful to you for doing your best to keep us informed!! Lord bless you!!!!

“Oh victory in Jesus, my savior forever”

  12. inhisservice says:

First it was the corrupting of the young children in the schools by teaching them the ways of “homosexuality”… Now, they will be shown how great homosexuality is while watching Sesame Street.

Keep looking up, the King is coming soon for His bride.

    • JohnMcTernan says:

I think this verse fits what they are doing.
Luke 17:2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

  13. Izzie says:

It is so breathtaking to me – everything that is going on as foretold in the Bible – who am I to be alive at a time like this? God is so good in His reassurances – it seems like every time I’ve turned around here lately, I’ve stumbled across Psalm 91. How glorious is He! How glorious is He! Thank you, Brother John for your ministry. You are right where you need to be right when you are needed.

  14. Cynthia says:

A short but powerful video…Kids 12 to 2 were asked what they were holding…If they know…why don’t our political leaders?

Even babies know it’s a baby:

  15. Catherine says:

I feel like Lot: “they vexed his righteous soul.” But you are right, Dr. John, WE VOTED these leaders in and 83% of Americans claim they are Christian. We really need to repent. Even Isaiah saw that he was a man of “unclean lips” and lived among others with “unclean lips.” Lord forgive us.

  16. Joni says:

We all waited, with watchful eyes, for a very big disaster to hit the US during the “perverse and prideful” month of June.
I think some of us were watching for earthquakes, terrorism, tornadoes, shootings, the stock market, you name it.
We watched June closely, and it’s my opinion that the very worst thing that possibly could have happened, did happen, in the SCOTUS disgusting and immoral “decision” to rule that DOMA was unconstitutional.
The lid is off folks, that ugly and demonic coiled up thing that slipped out will never go back in.
    Not in this plane anyways.
I know it sounds awful to some, but It would have been better to have had a large natural disaster, rather than this.
Of the few demonic and perverse sodomites in the whole picture that got to dictate law for the majority, they can have their party now…….and they will relish in it too. They can spit in God’s face, and in ours, but payday is coming…..and each one of them will have to explain won’t they?
Just watch, watch the filth and the recruitment tactics as it is all taken to our children, since they can’t have any of their own.
Jesus warned, “do not hurt the children” but of course Sodomites interpret the Bible on quite a different level than any God fearing true follower of Jesus, IF they even read it, so this surely can not be directed at them right?????
Its nice to know God will take care of it all, and I am so very thankful it is not up to me.
    Its almost sad isn’t it?
They (the sodomites) THINK they WON.
What a big lie of the enemy, they WON. Won what exactly??? In the big picture?

I am no longer surprised at anything.
Thank you John, for opening my eyes.
La-La land only worked for a while, I am thankful I know the Truth.
    God Bless us all,

  17. Joe says:

I’ve been asking people what do you think of civilization , ( they don’t know what to say or do not know what I mean) then I tell them , it sounds like a good idea somebody ought to start one.

  18. dan .w says:

America is being dissassembled from every quarter. We have done it to ourselves. We say we believe, then we go political,as if it’s the arm of the spiritual.I’m all for going toe to toe with the culture, but the prince of this world has the game rigged,so we have to [play] by God’s rules. On our knee’s with a broken, contrite spirit is the only way to win. No,I don’t believe we will get the country back, but we can be used of the Lord to win some for His Kingdom…and thats why we are really here…To redeem the lost from the snare of you know who.Everything has a moral and spiritual underpinning. To separate the secular from the sacred is called the [two spheres],and has been used by this present age with horrible results.Pragmatism is like shooting yourself in the foot so you don’t have to walk as much.Whatever works is fine when what you need is duct tape, but is useless as far as truth is concerned.Truth is NOT relative…but, you can be a relative to the Truth…and His name is Jesus.God bless every one of you…Dan.w

  19. dan .w says:

This country is a corpse..but corpses don’t know they are corpses..so it may take a bit for people to catch on.We are a dull lot,us people.Thank you Jesus for not always picking the smart, rich,or beautiful, but just having mercy on every day people like us…Now if I could muster enough intelligence to hide my beauty and cash…All of us needed just a little smile amongst the sorrow…hope you smiled.Dan.w

  20. Angelyn says:

Thank you, John, for continuing your hard work on educating us and standing up for God’s Word! I never knew how these sinful events affected our Nation until I heard about your book and website. I agree that these recent Supreme Court events are very sad, and appalling. They have taken God’s laws and thrown them out in favor of their own idea of what is “right”. It is no wonder that our country is so morally bankrupt when even the highest officers and lawmakers refuse to guide the nation in the way God intended. I was shocked to read that Justice Kennedy stated that those who oppose homosexual “rights” are the reprobates!!

I do have a question though: In reference to Katherine’s post, does not God place our leaders in office? Many have said that the president is part of our Judgement. I wonder if they are put in office in order to complete the process of what society is already doing that is sinful?

Thank you and God Bless you.

    • JohnMcTernan says:

Yes, God places the leaders. Obama is the perfect leader for the moral state of America
God raised him up for the destruction of America.

  21. Val says:

I expect significant changes in the bond market as we saw announcements this week of rising cost of student loans. This is the next shoe to drop. I personally believe that the CBO is overly optimistic in seeing a $800 billion budget deficit and maybe they are just being downright dishonest on the numbers.

  22. Dean says:

No doubt John.. This is what a nation looks like that has been abandoned by God.. The moral crisis, the debt that is about to bust and you can even see the military is being judged via sequestration and cuts due to the pushing of sodomy in the ranks…

    • JohnMcTernan says:

God will destroy every structure of America.
I believe the nation is about to breakup into different countries or merged with others like Canada and Mexico

  23. Loretta says:

very interesting….. the uS and Russia has an agreement that Russia can come on US soill!!!!??????????? This is On the last day of June. As John always reminds us — stay close and keep “Looking for the Blessed Hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ” Titus 2:13

Love and Blessings to all my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus

    • JohnMcTernan says:

This was a timely post. I am aware of this and was going to post on it next week.
I think that Obama would call on Canadian and NATO troops to help quell the civil war.

  24. Mary E. says:

Thanks Joni, I was thinking almost the same thing, late last night. I read yesterday, that an atheist organization has built their own monument right next to a display of the 10 Commandments, in Florida. It seems like a rebellious spirit has been unleashed, full force on this Nation and there is no stopping it.

John, I held a surprise B-day party for my Dad yesterday, with many family and friends. I took copies of The Last trumpet and 666 tract to pass out. I had a conversation with 2 friends of my Dad and quickly found they were “like-minded” with all of us on this blog. I was able to tell them about your ministry and gave them the site address. It was a wonderful and productive day for the Lord.

  25. Brian says:

FYI: The person you link to, Brandon T. Ward, teaches there is NO rapture for the body of Christ. I believe the author of this blog, John McTernan, would STRONGLY DISAGREE with Mr. Ward, as would most of the fellow believers who read this blog.

  26. Norman Page says:

I came across these quotes today (written in 1852), which I felt would bring comfort and instruction to many, considering all that’s happening before our eyes:
“If I could cry with a voice which should resound through all the world, and make itself heard by all Christians, I would warn them of this solemn truth….The principle of the apostasy, of the open revolt of the last day…..has produced a system which is in opposition to God. The result of it will be the cutting off of all that calls itself Christian (always excepting the true children of God, who will be taken away).” (p. 103: J N Darby, in “For Zion’s Sake” – Christian Zionism and the Role of John Nelson Darby”, Paul R Wilkinson). Darby also taught that the bride has always awaited the Bridegroom, and that the truth of an imminent Rapture ‘will sift Christians amazingly’!
“A most extraordinary thing to do! Waiting for God’s Son! that is, all our hopes are clean out of this world. Do not expect anything from earth, but look for something from heaven, and this God’s Son Himself, ‘even Jesus which delivered us from the wrath to come’…”. [NB past tense!]……We love his appearing, but we love Himself better. Therefore we wait for Him to take us to himself….I cannot be waiting for God’s Son from heaven if I am expecting wrath…” (p.120).
By God’s mercy, I realize I’ve come to the share the views of this dear man, so badly maligned in recent times – I wonder why??

  27. Cynthia says:

    Time is running out:

As detailed by well known Erwin W. Lutzer in his book “When a Nation Forgets God,” an unidentified Christian pastor shared a story with him of someone living in Germany during the Nazi takeover. The person sharing the story was a churchgoing Christian and a member of a small church located adjacent to railroad tracks.

Every Sunday morning, according to this eyewitness, the congregation could hear the whistle of the train in the distance, the noise of the wheels over the tracks, and as the train passed, the cries coming from inside the train. The cries were those of the Jews being transported to concentration camps, a process that occurred with regularity each Sunday morning during their worship service.

According to this eyewitness, week after week the whistle would blow and the church members dreaded the sounds they heard. The screams tormented them. So, what did they do? As the train approached and in anticipation of the screams from the Jews, herded like cattle into the train cars, the Christians sang louder to drown out the screams. Soon, they heard them no more.

The eyewitness ended his account by describing the torment of hearing the train whistle in his sleep, and pleaded for forgiveness for not only himself, but for all of those who called themselves Christians but did nothing to intervene………..

  28. Irene C says:

Thank you Brother John for your honest commentary. Your message is distressing for those of us who remember the nation we have now lost. However they are also comforting when we realize that this world is not our home and that soon our Lord and Savior will be calling us to our true Home – forever. Until then, I know I will continue warning and continue sharing the Gospel. Maranatha

  29. Brian says:

Loretta (post no. 33) provided links to two opinion pieces by a Brandon T. Ward. I had tried to reply to her posting, but got yours instead. In any case, he’s an advocate that there is no blessed hope for the body of Christ. He believes, instead, that we all go through the Great Tribulation.

  30. Irene C says:

That is so sat inhisservice. When my children were growing up, we used to watch Sesame Street all the time. I fear for our children if our Lord tarrys.

  31. Ryan Thomas says:

    All great posts, thanks everyone
I love you, brothers and sisters all.

  32. Janine says:

John, do you find people come at you with something like this…..How do you respond?
The verses are Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13. First, Thou shalt not lie with a man, as with a woman: it is abomination. Second, If a man lie with a man, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. There is, however, a big problem with quoting Leviticus. The problem is that Christians are no longer under the Law. We do not live our Christian life by following the Old Testament Law”.
So they say that makes homosexuality and lesbianism are ok now, and things like why do you keep Pentecost if you’re not under the law then?
Perhaps that’s why some of the churches don’t speak up?

    • JohnMcTernan says:

When God destroyed the Canaanites in Leviticus 18, it was not under the Law.
These people were pagans and not under the law of Moses yet God destroyed them.
It was recorded in the law but the pagans were not judged by the law of Moses.
God has a universal moral law that was before the law of Moses and exists to this day.
If they do not like Leviticus 18, then show them Romans 1: 21-32 and 1 Cor 6:9-11.

I would tell them the only ones not under the law today are believers in Jesus Christ.
God’s grace only applies to the church and not those who reject the gospel.

  33. Cyndi says:

Thank you John for this advice on how to answer. The Leviticus scripture is ALWAYS a debate with the homosexuals. That along with Jesus mainly taught to ‘Love thy neighbor’ as the greatest commandment; Jesus loved sinners and spent time with them; Jesus never mentioned homosexuality; and the ‘Do not judge’ scripture.

I am glad you commented on this. Thank you.

    • JohnMcTernan says:

Lord Jesus sure did mention homosexuality. He called it fornication.
See my teaching on this http://www.defendproclaimthefaith.org/homosexuality_and_god_1.html. Please read the entire teaching.

Regarding the homosexuals talking about judging. God has already judged it as sin.
This is exactly what the sodomites said in sodomy just hours before it was destroyed by an act of judgment from God
Gen 19:6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,
Gen 19:7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.
Gen 19:9 And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.

Notice how the sodomites accused Lot of judging them!
This is exactly what the saying now, it is just before the judgment.

  34. McClean says:

On “judging”… spiritually reborn, Spirit-filled people judge [discern] ALL things… ALL things… by His Spirit.

1Co 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth ALL things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

  35. Ryan Thomas says:

Those are good ones Joe and Dan W. I smiled.
Someone is about to start one , we know who that is, and His millennial reign on earth.
    Love to you.

  36. Loretta says:

Sorry folks for the blog post…. it was for headlines info only… not for his beliefs. Be assured that I am 100% in alignment with Dr. John here on this blog . But a request from dhs for Russian soldiers to help fema here in the us is something that we should be aware of and in prayer for…… I am sure John will post more info on this. Information helps direct our prayers.
But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
    Acts 6:3-5

  37. sparrow59 says:

My husband said the same thing a few days ago. What are we celebrating anymore? There is no country left!
