Through the efforts of a local rabbi, Ma’aleh Adumim and Williamsport PA have become “sister cities”. The mayors of both cities met in Williamsport about 1 1/2 years ago and signed an agreement to that along with other involved parties.

    John,
This amazed me tonight. I simply cannot to have the wisdom at all that the LORD has given you for the work He has for you, but I was praying in the spirit as I was going about my daily duties and the LORD spoke “usurp” – I honestly did not even know what the word meant and had to look it up – and the He spoke “Pharaoh’s Rise To Power”. I was confused, wanted to go back to history books but had no idea why the LORD would want me to research a pharaoh’s rise to power. So I just continued to pray. I have been following your blog for a few months now and my spiritual blinders have been ripped away. Thank you.
I do have a question: I know the LORD has spoken that the focus should never be fear, but simply Him… He is so good like that. He speaks clearly. I do struggle though with understanding what it means to “get my house in order” as you mentioned above and my mom did as well. What does this mean exactly? What would be the practical application?
Thank you so much and MANY MANY BLESSINGS AND FAVOR TO YOU!
    In Him,
    Shawna

      I found the comment.
Get your house in order, means to make things right with anyone who you need to.
It means if you owe someone money, pay them.
It means to deal with the sin that so easily besets us.
It means to give into the Lord’s work if you have not been doing it.
It means seeking the Lord for His power to share the gospel.
It means to seek Hm about walking more in His love.

Worth Noting: Israel killed the Hamas leader on the day of a Solar eclipse. We have a special lunar eclipse coming up this year also. 28/11/12- 29/11/12 . Currently it is the same time they are planning on talking about the palestinian state in the UN. “The vote on Palestinian statehood will take place on November 29, the anniversary of the 1947 UN Partition Plan, which called for a Jewish and an Arab state in Palestine. November 29 is also the UN’s International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People” The Israel Times
A bid in the General Assembly is likely to be approved. Last year, the United States used its veto to prevent a similar statehood bid in the UN Security Council. No country has a veto in the General Assembly.
US.Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in announcing a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza on Wednesday night in Cairo, said the next steps include moving toward a “comprehensive peace” between Israel and the Palestinians. The Israel Times

  5. Here goes Obama again telling Israel what not to do.
Obama just dont get it still. Jerusalem belongs to the Jewish people. If they want to build the E-1 in Jerusalem they have that right.
Obama wants to give Jerusalem to the Palestinian so bad. I can see Obama showing his ugly head and start to turn on Israel soon.
I can see how God will wipe out the Palestinians because they will go through any means to get Jerusalem.
    Debra

Israel will not give up Jerusalem.
This might be the issue that divides the US from Jerusalem.

  6. Jesus told us that when we see these things occur that we are not to “let” ourselves be in fear. Often we do have to go through the fire, however, there is a place of safety even in the fire; recall the three Hebrew young men.

  7. Shawna says:

    John,
Just wondering why has my comment not been posted?? Was something offensive??
I am wondering what your advice might be on “getting your house in order”?
    Thanks so much!

    • JohnMcTernan says:

I have no idea what happened.
A lot goes into spam that I try to identify as a post.
Try posting again and if there is a problem, I’ll tell you.

We have a lot to pray about, Amen? Pray for the christians in Egypt. Pray that those who can will leave safely and for those who are forced to remain there for them to receive the strength of a martyr’s spirit. Great slaughter’s coming to christians and even moderate Egyptians who will be accused of being sympathetic towards them. If they gave them a cup of cold water-they will pay for that. But God sees and will reward them for their kindness, (for as much as ye have done it to the least of these ye have done it unto Me). Pray that moderate Egyptians who were kind towards our brothers and sisters in Christ, will be saved themselves. And pray for our own leaders to do God’s will, even if its not what they want to do, that God will cause His will to come about anyway.

“While Americans celebrated Thanksgiving by feasting on turkey and football – and with some giving thanks to the ceasefire in Gaza – Egyptian President Mahmoud Morsi, one the brokers of the ceasefire, the quickly rising icon of the Muslim world, and President Obama’s new “bud” in the Middle East, has strengthen his grip on the government of Egypt by unilaterally revising the Constitutional Declaration. In doing so, he has swiftly yanked the entire country under his control. Many Egyptians are not pleased…..
……History may not be unfolding the way we were taught it would, but it is, nonetheless, unfolding as it should. We have been warning for some time that Morsi is no friend to democracy, Israel, or peace”.

The story below will be dismissed by some as propaganda. I think it shows, however, just how careful we must be in our discerning of prophetic events – not to get into a carnal mind-set. In reacting against the lefties, the God-haters and the ‘antis’ of every kind, I come back to where I should be – by God’s mercy, through the blood of Christ: a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light (Col 1:9-17: a careful reading of Colossians, today, taught me so much). And also, to take up battle stations in Him who is ‘far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come’ (Eph 1:21ff). Dear friends in Christ, let’s remember who the real enemy is!

    • JohnMcTernan says:

      Norman,
The Palestinians brought this on themselves. They created the war against Israel and in war many die.
They VOTED in Hamas during an election. They voted for Hamas knowing that Hamas wants to destroy Israel.
      They voted for war.
They have fired over 10,000 missiles into Israel during the last 10 years.
To make your legitimate you must state that Hamas brought this on the Palestinians for wanting to destroy Israel.
There is no moral equivalency here, as it is like showing dead German civilians during WW2 and comparing it to the British.
Remember the Palestinians voted in Hamas and thus brought this war on themselves.
The Arabs within Israel live very well with no trouble.

  11. Norman says:

Thanks John – the points you make are very helpful in balancing up the BBC report. But in Christ, I’m also impartial, just as I am every day at home and at work: having to walk wisely, my words seasoned with salt! You’re dealing in prophecy, and I’m expressing ‘bowels of mercy’ (Col 3:12),and I’m sure the two are not mutually exclusive, as we stand in Christ. I’m always blessed when I read how the Lord saw Hagar’s plight in the wilderness with young Ishmael, and how lovingly he responded. Yet He knew the end from the beginning. In Christ, are we not the same? If I was in the military, I’d have to do my duty; but in Christ, my weapons would have to be of a different kind, as I’m sure Cornelius found, through the grace given him.

    • JohnMcTernan says:

      How can you be impartial?
God is about to destroy entire Arab nations for violating His covenant and you are impartial!
This is mind blowing to me.
You act like a spectator, while God wants you standing with Israel and proclaiming the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
I do not see “mercy” in not telling people the truth of what is coming down on them.

    • Cindy says:

I do not believe there is any neutral territory here. You are either on God’s side, or the other side. A wise man would get on the side of the Almighty very quickly.

  12. wow that”s a-lot of Missiles. BUT FATHER GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL, NO MATTER WHAT HAPPEN”S, SHALOM.

  13. Norman says:

John – I am certainly standing with Israel, because of the spiritual wisdom and understanding the Lord has given me over the years concerning his elect, as we read in Romans 9-11, which is a mystery to the ‘natural man’. But if I work with a secular Jews, Muslims and atheists, I have to check myself from being partisan (‘in the flesh’) – I have to find a way of testifying Christ to them in equal measure, and when I’ve done that, I have to love them in equal measure, praying that God will open their eyes and grant them repentance – that’s what I mean by being ‘impartial’. And when people refuse our testimony, in some sense, yes, we are spectators, just as Jesus was, when he wept over Jerusalem’s coming fate. This not detracting from what you’re saying, but it is saying we need to take care how we react to the events unfolding before our eyes, and to keep in the mind of Christ. I’m sure you wouldn’t disagree with that, as only then can we pray effectually, and with the mind of the Spirit.

  14. shosh7154 says:

Would it not be better to warn them about attacking Israel ? The death of this child is what happens when you defy G-d to His face and refuse correction. Israel has shown patience beyond any nation’s response to rockets raining down on their cities. If rockets were raining down on the Whitehouse, do you think the U.S. military would stand by as Israel has done over the last 10 years of constant terrorism ? I tell you the truth, the nation that launched those rockets against the heart of America, would become a smouldering pile of ashes IN HOURS.

Would you then post a clip about dead babies that America killed ? And you say you post that clip as a statement of your relationship with Yeshua ?

Zechariah 2:8 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye. (THE NATIONS WHICH SPOILED YOU)

For those who attack Israel, hear the Word of the MOST HIGH G-D:

Zec 2:9 I will raise my fist to crush them, and their own slaves will plunder them.” Then you will know that the LORD of Heaven’s Armies has sent me.

  15. Norman says:

After writing the above, I became aware that my statement ….. “the wisdom and understanding the Lord has given me over the years”….might grate a little (comment # 19). I meant it in the context of Colossians 1:9, and should have put it in quotes. Col 3:12 rounds it off: “Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;” I don’t want the points I made to be misunderstood!

  16. Norman says:

Oh dear, I seem to have stirred up a hornet’s nest, and I don’t think any amount of reasoning is going to solve this. I know my position in Christ, and I am sure He knows my heart, even better than I do! He is the only one who revealed the true nature of our God (Jn 1:18). If I cannot stand in him, then truly, I am lost. In looking up that text in Zech 2, I happened to notice Zech 7:9: “Execute true judgement, and show mercy and compassion every man to his brother”. We all need the Saviour – the Jews, the Muslims and every single one of us in this world. A time is coming when the door will be shut. Until that time, it is my understanding that Christ died for all men; and notwithstanding the horrors of human wars, conflicts and depraved actions that make us so despairing, there is still a way of escape in Christ. As far as the Church is concerned (and I don’t mean all the phony counterfeits we see today) – and whether Jew or Gentile Church – He says: “My kingdom is not of this world, otherwise my servants would fight”. After the Church is gone, things will be very different, with an outcome that’s revealed at the end of Zechariah. Please, dear friends, I don’t want to draw attention to myself, nor to my own views. But I feel compelled to speak up for the Lord who I sincerely believe I know. If I am shot down for that, so be it – I am safe in him. It was Peter, a Jew, who said: that God is long-suffering towards us all, “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance”. One thing is clear to me at this point: whatever our stance on these tragic events, we all have a lot of praying to do! There’s a very lovely hymn, and the second verse is very relevant. The first verse starts: “Sing we the king who is coming to reign; glory to Jesus, the Lamb that was slain; life and salvation His empire shall bring; Joy to the nations when Jesus is King.” The second verse goes: “All men shall dwell in His marvellous light; races long severed His love shall unite; Justice and truth from His sceptre shall spring; Wrong shall be ended when Jesus is King.”
Even so Lord Jesus, come quickly!
