I will be honest here. I love this blog and the encouragement I get from everyone here. But sometimes it’s hard to read. Although I know what’s going on around me, there is still a part of me (sin nature) that wants to crawl back into the sand. I know this must be difficult for you Brother John, but I, and I’m sure many others here, are thankful for your blog.

I watched the Super Bowl today. I enjoy watching sports and I always enjoy seeing what the new commercials will be. At first, I was pleased that I wasn’t totally offended by any of them, but then I started reading posts from others who are probably more observant than I am. I rewatched the Coke commercial and cringed. It was all about diversity and there was one “couple”, two men, skating with “their” daughter. GLAAD and the LGBT community were ecstatic. I just wanted to cry.

Not only is the drought in CA horrifying, but two more snow storm systems are closing in on the Midwest and Northeast. As I’ve said before, I fear what will happen when we get to tornado season.

Strangely enough (maybe not so strange), one of the verses I posted today on Facebook was 2 Peter 3:6-7 – Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

So many have a “bucket list” and the number one on my “list” is to take just one more person with me when we go Home. My prayers are for the “fence-sitters” and for all my brothers and sisters who are Watchmen on the wall.

Hebrews 12:1 – Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

    God Bless and Maranatha

I believe that the drought will start to slowly move eastward because of Americas moral corruption. And because of the way Kerry and Obama are treating Israel by putting pressure on Israel to make peace with the Palestians.

FYI: The article you posted titled “Soros Warns of Riots…” is TWO years old (from January 2012).

  4. http://christiannews.net/2014/01/02/mennonite-church-usa-ordains-first-openly-homosexual-pastor/ This is evidence that even the most historic biblical churches can go downhill very fast. For the Mennonites ( and I grieve to have to count myself as a former one) I think what really “got the ball rolling” was when Mennonite Central Committee started actively siding with the Muslims against Israel. Then the cultural “blessings”became a priority rather than “The Bible the Word of God” And ” Ye must be born again”. Too many people who are currently in the 40’s-80’s age group only joined the church because they were required to not because they had had a conversion experience. Many of them are now in leadership in church offices and love the power that goes with it.

I watched detailed news accounts of this horrific tragedy taking place in California and I felt that this is The Hand of God working out his plan and will. He has promised to deliver all who believe in Him and trust Him for all things. In Jesus’ name I lift up every believer right now to you Lord for protection and provision – even those whose eyes are being opened to you and are crying out in acknowledgement and repentance. We acknowledge You here and now Lord and cry out for that outpouring of the Holy Ghost and power! Amen.

  6. Voters in California (me being one of them) voted overwhelmingly to uphold traditional marriage and our will was thwarted by a liberal activist judge. My car was “keyed” because of my pro-traditional marriage bumper sticker. I’ve been praying for revival and repentance for quite a while and tell everyone I know that all these calamities are God’s judgment upon us as a wicked nation. I don’t think it will be until people are suffering greatly on a personal basis that they will cry out to God. When water is no longer coming out of the tap! It would be nice for pastors in our churches to start proclaiming to their congregations that God is judging us and that we should repent but it doesn’t seem to occur.

Thanks so much for standing for the Lord.
May God lead you out of there before the final judgment.
The people of California are continually electing Hard Left reprobates into all levels of office.
The people are voting for their own destruction and judgment.

@Irene C. – after reading your post, I watched the Coke commercial again, which was done so smoothly & so quickly that it had gone right over my head the first time. Thank you for commenting. I wanted to cry too because, judging by the discussions today on that commercial, VERY FEW PEOPLE SAW ANYTHING STRANGE ABOUT IT !! God help the USA 🙁 p.s. Loved your bucket list … Shalom, my friends!

@ Irene C. Your post brought tears to my eyes. I agree with you wholeheartedly. I see this world spiraling down and so few seem to be aware of it. I at times have had to walk away from the news because you feel like you can’t handle one more bad news story. If the Lord had not saved me, I think I would have had a heart attack by now. Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. Luke 21:26 God bless us all. S.O.

I did not watch the superbowl, but did see the score this morning. I just read that it was the most watched superbowl ever which brings me to this. I can’t help but think about how Denver pushed Tebow out and brought Manning in, even though Tebow had turned the team around and took them to the playoffs his first year starting in Denver. It “appeared” that Denver had made a clever decision as the season progressed and they ended up in the superbowl. Yesterday they were knocked off their high horses in great fashion, not only a public embarrassment, the world was watching in record numbers.

    Marlayne,
Thank you for standing in defense of God’s will, it’s not always easy, but Lord bless you for standing for Him.

Saw this in my inbox when I came back on the computer. Also, the stock market dropped 326 points today. I am so happy that my treasure is safe in Heaven.

The apparent suicide death of the chief economist of a US investment house brings the number of financial workers who have died allegedly by their own hand to four in the last week.

50-year-old Mike Dueker, who had worked for Russell Investment for five years, was found dead close to the Tacoma Narrows Bridge in Washington State, says AP.

Local police say he could have jumped over a fence and fallen 15 meters to his death, and are treating the case as a suicide.

Dueker was reported missing by friends on January 29, and police had been searching for him.

A Sheriff’s spokesman said investigators learned that he was having problems at work but did not elaborate….

I believe,as far as these progressive judgments go,just as in the old testament times..peoples hearts will harden with each successive judgment as others heart s did.Unrepentant human nature always acts and responds as unrepentant.People who are lost only want God’s blessings, not His rules or rulership. There will be a very small remnant in which will ‘get it’,and the light will go on,and they will connect the dots, seeing God’s hand in all this…which is,He is calling all to repentance.Israel wanted a king, they asked for Barabbas, when they could have had Jesus. When all of us are left to our own devices,we always turn away from the Lord.Thank you father God for being so merciful, and giving us progressive judgments,[Your’e not willing that any should perish].Please open more eyes and ears to what you are clearly saying…Repent, for the Day of the Lord is near..

Not to use an overworn old phrase..but we can put a man on the moon, but even with the whole left side of California bordering an ocean..we somehow have not had enough forsight to set up a desalinization water treatment plant so Californians would have needed water in such a time as this.I see how the thoughts of men are futile when trying to overturn the throne of God.We throw gobs of money at foolish and sinful things..and though this is earthly water we are talking about, and not spiritual, man once again proves he is not god.Father God,have mercy on whom you will. You have your remnant in California as in other places. Please make a way for them to shine with the light of Christ, right where they are,and preserve them from the way of evil,in the midst of your attention getting judgments. Please use these awakenings to rise from sleep all those who have never given you a second thought.Let them consider your ways o Lord.Amen.

  17. “Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which god has established. The authorities that exist have been established by god. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what god has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he shall commend you. For he is god’s servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is god’s servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. There fore it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience.

I think that there are vast numbers of Lanzas being created in America. As society begins to unravel, they will be turned loose on the public. There is no longer any restraint on sin in America, and these predators will kill at will.

    John, check this out.

…And when you’ve given that time to sink in, take a look at this.

It’s a set-up by the NWO, probably because America’s proving difficult to disarm (and no, I’m not a gun-owner — or even an American) and time is short.

    Don’t fall for it.
