Would be interesting if during one of the briefings mentioned that a soldier would stand up and say, “I am an evangelical Christian. Deal with it.” And force the issue in court if necessary.

It would be great but would the church stand with him?
I would in every way, but so many of the pastors are hirelings and run.

Just a note, I am an independent Baptist and in no way do I agree with the southern Baptist. In fact my pastor warned me years ago that the southern Baptist were telling their churches to not preach against homosexuality being independent we do not adhere to southern Baptist policy. We are a God fearing KJV Bible believing church. I hope your readers know the difference in Baptists, I hate when people confuse the two. God’s blessings be upon you.

The Church that I attend and have for several years, are very strong against all the gay activity. Most of the churches in the association have made pledges to stand against any of this coming into our churches. I sure didn’t know the Southern Baptist Convention was this weak in this. Our church and most in this community are members of the Southern Baptist Convention. My prayer every day is for GOD’S will to be done in this, ans I see the things taking place of loosing our freedom to worship like we have had the past centuries. I read most of your writtings, but don’t feel like most in the Southern Baptist Convention stands that weak. Please don’t condem the whole by this one mans words. Thanks and yours in Christ Raymond Jackson…………….

I did not condemn all the SB churches.
I was pointing out the leadership and want all the local churches to stand.
I am delighted that your church is strong.
      God bless you.

Another notable exception to Southern Baptist compromise is Dr. Al Mohler, who has always stood strong against homosexual marriage. Dr. Mohler is currently president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

  5. We should not be surprised at the continued falling away of the church. This is exactly what God has told us would happen, and things are going to get even worse. The Laodicean church is growing. Those who are truly faithful are being set apart and must “come out and be separate” as God commanded. While it is distressing to see these things, we must know that Jesus is near, and the time is very short. May God strengthen his faithful ones.

You never know about weather, but a heads up for our friends in the central U.S./plain states. “Possible” severe weather/tornado outbreak (from a local met):

**UPDATE** Appears that a major widespread severe weather event is unfolding for monday-thursday across the central U.S. Forecast coming!!!!

WxSynopsis **UPDATE** Latest GFS/NAM runs have SIGNIFICANTLY upped the tornado threat and overall nature and widespread coverage of this system for nearly every day from tomorrow through thursday. 500mb shear (deep layer shear) now shown to be around 90kts. A benchmark for this parameter is 35kts, as anything at or above 35kts is favorable for supercells. 75kts on up, and especially when nearing 100kts, the enivornment favors long-track cells with long-track tornadoes. CAPE is also now shown to be up around 2000-3000 based on the NAM, for wednesday. Also, both the GFS/NAM extend the areal coverage of this threat up into Iowa/SD and down across the central plains into central TX and into the arklatex wednesday/thursday. However, the threat for tomorrow night across TX/OK/KS is now looking to be bigger, extending into tuesday. More updates to follow

WxSynopsis HODOGRAPHS now curved, significantly. jaw-dropping hodographs for tomorrow night and wednesday, indicating that indeed the 500mb deep layer shear will be more than supportive, and any tornadoes that do develop should be violent and long-tracked

In case you were not aware, the “1 in 3” campaign started today. It is a campaign to ‘end the stigma’ of abortion. There promo video is both stunning and heartbreaking:

Israel: 1949 lines? a price for disputed land? This is scary!
But God Almighty is still in control and we will trust in HIM.
    Psalm 91 (KJV)
    1) He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
    2) I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

An elder in our church researched it and discovered that the Southern Baptist Convention allows Masons to be members of their church and that up to 40% of Southern Baptist preachers are in fact Masons. As Christians we are to have no part in secret societies. Masons have very good reasons for keeping all of what they do in the higher levels, or degrees, secret…and there is absolutely nothing Christian about it. So I’m not at all surprised the South Baptist Convention isn’t standing with God on this critical matter either.
