The Temple Mount: Ground Zero of Prophecy
Verse of the Day
2Thessalonians 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
This is a great article about the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and the Jewish desire to build it. The article is loaded with great insights to what is happening, and I felt that it should be highlighted by itself.
This coming war might not start over the Temple Mount, but it will end up as the focus of a united Arab attack to destroy Israel and make Jerusalem the capital of a caliphate.
The easiest flashpoint to unite all of Israel is the Temple Mount. On this site are two Muslim buildings. The first is the Dome of Rock and it is more of a shrine. It is built on the location that was believed to be where the ancient temples were built. The second is the Al-Aqsa mosque which is located on the southern end of the Temple Mount.
Any building, or even the attempt to build on the Temple Mount, would trigger the all-out Jihad to take the city.
This temple is going to be rebuilt, and the antichrist will enter into it. He will then sit in the Holy of Holies and proclaim that he is god. This will occur immediately prior to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ with His church.
This is why the Temple Mount and rebuilding of the temple is so important in prophecy. The temple must be rebuilt to fulfill prophecy.
The rabbi, the lost ark and the future of Temple Mount 09/12/13 This article focuses on Rabbi Chaim Richman, and his quest to build the third temple. He is at the center if a firestorm, as he prepares to build the temple.
“The proposed location of the new temple is the Temple Mount (or Haram al-Sharif in Arabic), one of the most disputed places on the planet. The First Temple, built by King Solomon 3,000 years ago, stood on this site, says Richman, and the Third Temple must be erected in the same place. Unfortunately, the area is already occupied – by an Islamic shrine known as the Dome of the Rock, the shimmering gold roof that dominates the Jerusalem skyline, and the Al-Aqsa mosque, the third holiest place in the world for Muslims.”
There is a reason why the Muslims are so concerned about the Jews building the temple. The temple would be a threat to the supremacy of Islam and allah. The Muslims believe that the mosque on the Temple Mount is proof that allah is superior to the God of Israel. This site was the center of the worship of the God of Israel and now, with the mosque on the site, it shows that allah is supreme.
Any attempt by the Israelis to build the temple would challenge the authority of allah and the Muslims will NOT allow this. They will call for a Jihad and fight an all-out war to block the building.
What I believe is going to happen is that an all-out war is coming between the Israelis and the Muslims and Islam is going to be destroyed. After the battle, Israel then builds the temple. This war is going to be vicious with horrific loss of life, but the temple is going to be built and Islam cannot stop this.
The following section show the intensity the Muslims have over the Temple Mount:
“The Israeli strategy is to take it over,” says Mahdi Abdul Hadi, chairman of the Palestinian Academic Society for the Study of International Affairs. “We don’t want to share, not because we don’t accept them, but because we don’t trust them.” The Palestinian Authority has been even more forthright. “[The Jewish desire for the area is] totally unacceptable, and could transform the region into a powder keg,” said president Mahmoud Abbas in May. Sheikh Mohamad Hussein, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, agreed. “Muslims in Palestine and elsewhere will never accept this provocation and will try to thwart it by all means necessary,” he said. “This is the ultimate red line for us. The Israelis and the world should listen carefully to what I am saying.”
The following shows the intensity of the Muslims against Rabbi Richman. Notice when they see him, the Muslims yell “Allahu akbar”, which means god is greater or that allah is greater than the Holy God of Israel. Rabbi Richman is a direct threat to Muslim supremacy. No matter how hard the Muslims resist, the temple is going to be built. It is part of Bible prophecy and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
“The atmosphere is tranquil, even ethereal. Palestinians are strolling across the forecourt, milling around the entrance to the Muslim shrine, and relaxing in the shade. Yet as soon as the rabbi is spotted cries of “Allahu akbar” ring out. Our policeman adjusts his weapon and directs us into a less conspicuous corner. Shadowing our small party is a representative of the Waqf, the Islamic trust that administers the Temple Mount. His job is to make sure that the rabbi does not attempt to pray.”
The Jews are all ready to build the temple. They have been working for decades getting everything ready. All that is needed is for the all-out war to clear the area of Muslims. This war is on the way.
What a time we live as the signs of Bible prophecy are all around us.
“We are ready to restore this place to its former glory,” says Richman. “And we have priests who are ready to serve in the Third Temple. That would be a much smaller miracle than the establishment of the state of Israel. Here we are, in our homeland, and we have the power to build the temple whenever we want! God must be wondering what we are waiting for.”
Jerusalem and the Temple Mount are ground zero of Bible prophecy. Once the battle over Jerusalem begins there is no turning back and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is soon to follow!
Revelation 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
