Do you remember the good ol’ Ronald Reagan days, John? Don’t you miss them? Boy! The world has come a long way… yes indeed! A long way down the sewage pipe of destruction! We are one day closer!

    • JohnMcTernan says:

Keep looking unto Jesus no matter what happens
Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

  3. I am ready to be despised for the sake of Jesus Christ.

  4. Lyn Leahz says:

I know, John. I was just having fun and being nostalgic..I was a little girl then. Notice, in the end of my comment, I summed it up with Jesus… saying, “We are one day closer!” (meaning, to his return…) This day is a happy day, but also a sad day. Even God Himself is sad for all of the sin and suffering. If we have the Spirit of God in us, we will feel sad as well… but during our sadness and our burdens, we look unto the hills..our help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.

  5. James says:

Brother John, there is.an.uneasy feeling in the spirit of Chritians these days.I do believe that america is beyond the point of no return and you are right, the church is oblivious to what is happening and solely unprepared.May the Lord keep and protect you

  6. David S. Mintzer says:

This does not surprise me at all. I am one of those young people who is 38 and believes in traditional marriage. When I try to explain why I am against Gay marriage to someone such as my father, all he says is that I am a bigot and how I hate gays. Of course he needs God more than I do since he does not believe in him. I am for civil unions for homosexuals. He thinks I am not respecting his viewpoint when I am. He is trying to shove his views down me. I just wish he would respect my views on how I feel about this issue. As God says in Leviticus, Chapter 18, this is sinful behavior. I only wish my pops would understand this argument. For the record I came to this without being brainwashed by any right wing agenda.

There is only this to say to John McTernan you are such a Blessing in the lives of those who Fear & Love the Lord! You are an anointed man and when I read what David says in (2 Samuel 23 V2-4)it reminds me of you.A man given for these last days. The spirit of the lord spoke by me,and his word was in my tongue. The God of Israel said, the rock of Israel spoke to me,he that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds;as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.YOU ARE A LIGHT OF WISDOM and we who visit this blog are Blessed because of it!!(Proverbs 4 V18),(Matthew 5 V 14)God’s Blessing is upon this ministry!!

  8. Gordon Embree says:

As it grows darker in this world, His light in us grows brighter. I just ask the Lord to grant me the grace to stand according to His Word in love, joy, and perseverance. Never looking back but forward to His glorious appearing. Amen.

  9. sparrow59 says:

I’m afraid we’re too far gone now! That these cases even come before the Supreme Court speaks volumns to me! Hurry Lord! I can’t take much more!

  10. Jay says:

John, I believe that sin is sin, that one sin isn’t greater than another, however certain sins have a different fall out then others, God has given us free will to choose, believers and unbelievers, I stand by God word that marriage should be between a man and a woman, but why should the world or our country suffer because of glorifying the sin of homosexuality, there are straight boys and girls, men and woman having sex before marriage every day, that’s been the norm forever, just because it’s not gay relations it’s still sin, and just as wrong, I know we are living in the last days, and people are going to turn away from God in these days, but we all have a natural sin nature that is against God, and only through Christ are we saved, why glorify one sin?

    • JohnMcTernan says:

I don’t think that you understand the heart of God.
Please read my teaching Homosexuality vs God’s holiness:

  11. Melany says:

I’m aware of when things began changing for the worse in this country (“Slouching Toward Gomorrah” by Robert Bork), but this moral decay has wheels and is picking up speed on the downward slide. Currently I’m rereading Hal Lindsey’s “There’s A New World Coming.” Things are catastrophically worse today. We’re one day closer indeed.

  12. Gary says:

It is a dark day in America. It seems that the church has no power to influence society anymore. So many unbelievers are trying to pass themselves off as Christians that real Christians are seen as a quaint subset of Christianity rather than being seen as representing Christianity.

I am amazed at the speed that homosexuality and same-sex marriage have swept up so many supporters. It is like tidal wave. And as the tidal wave comes in, it seems to be overwhelming those of us who stand against homosexuality and the perversion of marriage. We are seen as a very small group of narrow-minded, hateful bigots who have been swept into the dustbin of history. I have been told that by my opponents.

These events are vexing to me. I hate to see the wicked telling their lies and proudly promoting their sin. I am angry. I find myself wishing for God’s judgment to fall on the wicked and end this madness. I have to keep reminding myself that prophesy is being fulfilled, and that God will straighten everything out, eventually. Judgment Day is coming. God’s wrath will be poured out on the wicked. Justice will be done. Good will overcome evil.

    • JohnMcTernan says:

Malachi 3:15 And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.
This is the hour for this verse. Judgment is very close, and when it comes, your knees might buckle from the devastation.

  13. Gary says:

Why would you be for civil unions for homosexuals. That is wicked too.

  14. Barbara in VA says:

These days indeed are troubling and those who study prophecy are able to discern what is happening. I thank God for John McTernan who remains strong in God’s Word and who does not shrink back from exposing the darkness that is coming on us.

Maybe it is because of this week, prior to the time of Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection, that our hearts are even more focused on how people in general and Christians in particular are using their time and where they are placing their priorities and values that those of us who are particularly focused on prophecy may have a tendency to become a little bit discouraged. But each day, if you look, there is much to be encouraged about. Even in our lowest moments, at least in my experience, God sends something or someone to lift my spirit and to remind me to put my total trust in Him and Him alone!

Just a short while ago, I read Bill Wilson’s Daily Jot. He led his readers to:
    2 Corinthians 4:8-10 (KJV)
    8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
    9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
What a wonderful promise we have here. I would suggest for very uplifting reading to study the whole 4th chapter of 2nd Corinthians. All of God’s Word is a treasure, and 2 Corinthians 4 is a very encouraging scripture!

    God bless all of us.

  15. sage_brush says:

The problem with this particular sin – is that it flies in the face of what the marriage between one man and one woman signifies – which is the marriage between Jesus Christ and His Bride – the church. Satan and his followers always seek to corrupt the Word of God; in this instance, to redefine Biblical marriage.

    Ephesians 5:31-33

    King James Version (KJV)

31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

  16. Brendon says:

How can you despise the behavior of homosexuality yet support civil unions?

  17. Brendon says:

My knees are already knocking. You might hear them if you listen carefully. In all seriousness, my emotions are a heady mixture of fear and trepidation with joy and expectation. I know the Lord is coming soon, I just wish it were today. Yet there are many that still need to hear the gospel.

  18. GENE WILKINS says:

As i told a friend the other day ” It’s all going to hell in a hurry”,but then it hit me ” It’s HELL that is comming here” that puts it in a better prespctive.Whe HE calls us up,IT’s UP UP AND AWAY WE GO!!!!

Massive Storm in the Atlantic spans coast to coast and is a category 3 strength storm. This storm comes from the most recent storm America has experienced that entered into the Atlantic. God must really be angry with what is going on at the Supreme Court with DOMA, what Obama did in Israel, and etc.

Incredible North Atlantic Storm Spans Atlantic Ocean Coast to Coast

  20. Bill Pfefferkorn says:

Why are churches putting a blind eye to what is in my eyes, the setting up of bibical prophecy. If you knew what was going to happen ahead of time like a flood or earthquake or tornado would’nt you protect your family and warn your neighbors. Of course you would, we are asleep and we are not sounding the alarm. I picture a car going down the street with yhe big dpeakers on the roof, warning people. I guess the only question is, what are we as individuals going to do for God to sound thee alarm?

God bless this country once again.
protect us and have mercy on us O’Lord.
