“Research by the University of Michigan found that people who lack friends and social circles look for God as a way to satisfy those needs. Religious people have a stronger sense of belonging and purpose, even if they struggle to find footing in social settings.
Conversely, the authors say, when people don’t feel like they belong in a group or feel unsupported in their relationships, they’re more likely to lack direction or struggle to see meaning in life. Turning to faith and “friending” a divine being can help replace some of the functions of human relationships, they found.
“For the socially disconnected, God may serve as a substitutive relationship that compensates for some of the purpose that human relationships would normally provide,” explains lead author Todd Chan in a university release.
Chan and his team analyzed the responses of 19,775 people across three nationally representative surveys related to religion. Participants were asked to describe their purpose in life, their levels of loneliness, the quality of their friendships, and their religious beliefs. The responses showed that viewing God as a friend can help people feel more connected and bring about greater levels of purpose — but primarily among individuals who don’t have much connection with others.”

The failing company tried to turn around its poor sales by doubling down on its abrasive lefty politics. Nike’s Consumer Direct Offense was supposed to stand for reclaiming American market share, instead of directly offending consumers. But if Nike can’t sell its shoddy athletic wear, it can offend Americans.
Last winter, Nike unveiled the “Pro Hijab”. Now it decided to make Colin Kaepernick, the racist black nationalist who began the trend of protesting the national anthem, into the face of its Just Do It campaign. Nike’s new contract with its America-hating racist will rush out Kaepernick shoes and jerseys. No word on whether Kaepernick’s socks showing police officers as pigs will also be part of the package.
Nike will pay Kaepernick millions every year with a deal that looks like those of “top-end” NFL players. Actually being a top-end player or having the talent to be one is surplus to social justice requirements.”

The Weekly Standard wanted to know if Dr. Tony Evers was in favor of Medicaid funding of abortion. He replied, “We need to have the Medicaid money be available for all people and restricting it because of a certain procedure, whether it’s a tonsillectomy or any other procedure, seems to me a foolhardy thing to do.”
The comment sparked evangelist Franklin Graham to weigh in. “What does it say about our culture when it is acceptable to compare an abortion to a tonsillectomy? That’s pretty unbelievable,” Graham wrote on Facebook.”

By murdering the white farmers, the food supply is being destroyed. Many farmers have already fled to Australia and Russia. Yes, Russia is taking them in. SA has lost 4000 farms in 10 years.
The Hard Left in SA are getting what they wanted which is the destruction of the white farmers. Now, the nation is going down just like Zimbabwe into poverty. Once the farms are broken like this, how does a nation ever get it back?

Victory
“‘Total Victory’ for High School Cheerleaders in Bible Banner Case” Although this is a small victory, it feels so good to win. The Hard Left in the schools will fight to the end to keep anything about the Lord out of the schools.
“The Texas Supreme Court has declined to hear an appeal of a lower court decision that protects the right of cheerleaders to display Bible verses on run-through banners at school football games.
“After more than five years of litigation, our clients are relieved that the Texas Supreme Court has brought an end to the school district’s scorched-earth litigation tactics,” said one of the cheerleaders’ attorneys, Hiram Sasser, who serves as general counsel at First Liberty.
CBN News has been following the case since 2012 when the Kountze Independent School District claimed that the cheerleaders’ banners represented government speech, so the district had the right to censor them whenever it chose.
However, both the cheerleaders and their attorneys insisted the student-made signs represented the private speech of the cheerleaders and were protected under Texas law. The 9th Court of Appeals in Beaumont agreed, ruling last year that the verses on the banners were not government speech and thus could not be regulated by school officials – a ruling that will stand, thanks to Friday’s decision by the Texas high court.
