Brochure: Final Battle Over Jerusalem and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ
Verse
Zechariah 14:1,2 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle…
Commentary
On October 7, 2023, 7000 Hamas terrorists attacked Israel. Hamas attacked because of the claim the Jews were defiling the Al-Aqsa Mosque which sits on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. They believe Allah has cursed the Jews, and their presence on the Temple Mount has defiled the mosque. This was the cause of the attack! The war is not over Palestinian rights but over Jerusalem.
This post is in five sections. Make sure to look at all five: 1 The Brochure; 2 October 7, 2023; 3 God’s everlasting covenant with Israel over the land; 4 Important Information about Islam and Israel; 5 Hamas Covenant.

1. The Brochure
The Final Battle over Jerusalem and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ
Luke 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. Jesus Christ
On October 7, 2023, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) attacked Israel killed, and wounded thousands along with taking hundreds of hostages. Hamas declared this war was over Jerusalem and named it Operation Al Aqsa (Mosque) Flood. This Mosque sits on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Hamas requested that all of Islam join in this war against Israel to defend the Mosque and Jerusalem. Although the fighting started in Gaza, the actual object is Jerusalem.
The fact this war is over Jerusalem has great importance because the Bible reveals incredible prophetic events about this city, including two great wars, and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ! Jerusalem is at the very center of these events.
Jerusalem is unlike any other city. It is totally unique. Around 1000 BC, King David made it the capital of Israel, and his son Solomon built a magnificent temple. In 586 BC, the Babylonian army totally destroyed the city and temple. The people were taken captive to Babylon, but returned 70 years later. Eventually, the city and temple were rebuilt.
Then in 70 AD, the city and the temple were once again totally destroyed, but this time by the Romans. The Jews were driven into all the world, Israel as a nation ceased to exist along with Jerusalem as the capital. On May 14, 1948, Israel again became a nation which was written by the prophets.
The Prophet Zechariah writing in 520 BC declared that far into the future Jerusalem would again be the capital and world wars would be fought over it. The final war would trigger the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. The Holy God of Israel himself will defend Jerusalem.
Zechariah 12:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
As the Prophet stated, in 1967 Jerusalem once again became the capital, 1897 years after Rome destroyed the city. The authority of the Bible as the word of God can be seen by the prophecies regarding this city! The fulfillment of the prophecy can be seen and tested over Jerusalem, and thus establishing the Bible as the word of God.
What is next on the prophetic timeline is a devastating war over Jerusalem. Many nations are already aligned against Jerusalem, but many more are going to join.
The prophecy stage now is set; Israel is again a nation with a powerful military, Hebrew was revived as the language, and Jerusalem is once again the capital. The Bible warns the nations not to attack Jerusalem, but because of unbelief they will attack and be totally destroyed.
Zechariah 12:2,3 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
Because Israel has a mighty army and God’s backing, the surrounding nations will be totally destroyed. Jerusalem is God’s anvil, and all the nations involved in attempting to destroy this city will be broken into pieces!
Zechariah 12:6 In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.
The nations the Bible identifies as being totally destroyed are the Palestinians, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, and Iraq, plus all the armies which joined the battle over Jerusalem.
The Final Battle Over Jerusalem and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ:
Zechariah 14:1 Behold, the day of the LORD comes… (The Day of the Lord is a Bible term for Christ’s Second Coming.)
Zechariah 14:2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. (Jerusalem is being destroyed with no hope.)
Zechariah 14:3,4 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east… (Christ’s Second coming is triggered by the near total destruction of Jerusalem. He returns to defend the city and the people. He returns as the LORD God of Israel!)
Zechariah 14:11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited. (Jesus brings peace to the earth.)
Zechariah 14:12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. (Christ unleashes his eternal power on evil people, and they are instantly destroyed.)
God’s prophetic plan is already in play and cannot be stopped. The unfolding plan follows this order: Israel reborn as a nation, Jerusalem becomes the capital, a huge all-out war with surrounding nations, the ancient temple is rebuilt, a second and even greater war is fought over Jerusalem, and finally, the awesome Second Coming of Jesus Christ to setup his Kingdom over the earth. At his coming, all evil on earth will be completely destroyed. Peace will cover the earth.
Isaiah 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever…
Not only is the future of Jerusalem very important, but so is the past. Jerusalem was central to Christ’ first coming. The place where Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, died on the cross and shed his blood to pay the penalty for sin was Jerusalem; also the place where he was raised from the dead. The place for his second coming is Jerusalem. This city is central to God’s plan of the salvation for mankind.
Obadiah 1:15 For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done (To Israel), it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.
To receive God’s love and assurance of eternal life, believe as you a pray a prayer like this: “God, I repent of sin and turn to Jesus Christ. I believe that in love you sent Jesus to die on the cross and shed his blood to pay the price for my sin. I also believe he rose from the dead. I now confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Because Jesus is my Savior, I now have assurance of eternal life, and you are now my Father God. Thank you in Jesus’ name.”
Father God, you also sent Jesus to heal the brokenhearted. I ask you heal all the readers of a broken heart: a heart broken from the passing of a loved one, violence, full of fear, depression and loneliness, a broken family, being molested or subject to trauma. Please free all minds in bondage to strongholds of sin. Father, free all who are oppressed of the devil and in torment. And, with your great love, free anyone thinking of suicide or addicted to drugs. May everyone experience your great love, joy and peace, amen.
The war over Jerusalem will not go on forever. It is going to end exactly as the Bible describes. In 33 AD, just before Jesus Christ died on the cross, he said to watch Jerusalem because the end of the age, and his second coming are directly connected to wars over the city. The events we now are witnessing are heading to the awesome Second Coming of Jesus Christ. They are accelerating to fulfill Bible prophecy!

2. October 7, 2023: The Battle over Jerusalem (Operation The ‘Al-Aqsa Storm’)
The following are quotes from articles showing the war that Hamas started on October 7, 2023 was in reality over Jerusalem! Hamas titled the war “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood/Storm.”
From article:”From article:””What price tag would you put on Palestine? How much are Palestine, Jerusalem, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque worth to you? With these issues, if you start putting a price on them, you’d better stay home.” In Ten Years, People Will Say: “May Allah Be With The People Who Launched Al-Aqsa Flood, Because They Wrote The First Line In The Story Of The End Of Israel”
The ‘Al-Aqsa Storm’ Surprises Israel and Upsets Plans For a New Security Order
The Hadith Of The Stones And The Trees – About The Muslims Killing The Jews Ahead Of The End of Days – In The Hamas Charter And In A Publication Of The Hamas-Affiliated Palestine Scholars Association I want you to realize that what is being used by Muslims to justify killing Jews in not the Koran but secondary writing called the Hadithes which were written 250 years after the death of Muhammad. There is virtually no prophecy in the Koran about the rebirth of Israel and Jerusalem. The Bible has the prophecy which is being fulfilled before our eyes which proves it is the Word of God!
From article:”There is currently much discussion of the murderous methods used by Hamas in its October 7, 2023 attack on localities in southern Israel, methods that resemble those of the Islamic State (ISIS) organization in their cruelty and brutality. This article questions whether the religious philosophy of ISIS, especially its perception of its struggle against the infidels as a war that heralds the End of Days, helped radicalize the religious outlook of the Palestine Scholars Association, whose heads are members of Hamas.[1]
The connection between the current jihad against the Jews and the war at the End of Days is mentioned already in Hamas’ 1988 founding Charter. This document presents the war against the Jews as part of ongoing jihad that will not stop until the End of Days, when the Muslims finally kill all the Jews. But today it is pertinent to ask whether there are some who encourage Palestinians to regard their struggle against the Jews as part of an eschatological war that has already begun, and in which the Jews will ultimately be annihilated.
Such influence is perhaps reflected in a document posted on April 16, 2023 on the website of the Palestine Scholars Association that describes the war at the End of Days. Titled “The End of the Jews and the Future of Jerusalem According to the Hadith of the Prophet,” this lengthy document (of about 3,000 words) describes the imminent and complete annihilation of the Jews, first in Palestine and then in the rest of the world.
The document is based on several Prophetic hadiths, and thereby presents its message as unassailable truth and as a religious source that must be obeyed. Among the hadiths cited are the above mentioned Hadith of the Stones and the Trees, which is presented as the most important of the traditions mentioned. The document stresses that the Jews know their end is near, and therefore plant many gharqad trees in the places where they live (a claim that is frequently repeated today in educational materials, in propaganda and in the media).[13]
“[Before the founding of the State of Israel,] the hadith [that says that] ‘the hour of judgment shall not come until the Muslims fight the Jews’ often gave rise to the following question: How can the Jews even be fought, when they are riff-raff, scattered in groups all over the world, in accordance with what Allah the Almighty said [in Quran 7:168]: ‘ We dispersed them through the land in groups’? They do not form a collective, or have a center where they all congregate together. Nor do they have a state.
So how can war be waged against them? But today, the matter has become clear to all: The Jews came from all over the world and congregated in this blessed land [of Palestine]. And that is what the Messenger of Allah, peace and prayers be upon him, meant when he said that ‘the hour of judgment shall not come until the Muslims fight the Jews… and the stone and the tree will say, Oh Muslim…’ These words of the Prophet indicate that the Jews will be massacred all together and the land will be purged of their filth – and even those who try to flee for their lives will be pursued. And the fighting will not be only against those who live in the land where the war will take place [i.e., in Palestine]. On the contrary, the Jews will be pursued in every corner of the world, and those who try to hide, the very stones and trees will open their mouths [and reveal their presence].”
5. Hamas Covenant
The Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas): 18 August 1988
Preamble: In The Name Of The Most Merciful Allah “Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it,
just as it obliterated others before it”
Articles
Article: 7…the Islamic Resistance Movement aspires to the realisation of Allah’s promise, no matter how long that should take. The Prophet…has said: “The Day of Judgment will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him…(related by al-Bukhari and Moslem).
Article 13: There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors. The Palestinian people know better than to consent to having their future, rights and fate toyed with.
Article 15: The day that enemies usurp part of Moslem land, Jihad becomes the individual duty of every Moslem. In face of the Jews’ usurpation of Palestine, it is compulsory that the banner of Jihad be raised. To do this requires the diffusion of Islamic consciousness among the masses, both on the regional, Arab and Islamic levels. It is necessary to instill the spirit of Jihad in the heart of the nation so that they would confront the enemies and join the ranks of the
fighters.
Article 32: Leaving the circle of struggle with Zionism is high treason, and cursed be he who does that. “for whoso shall turn his back unto them on that day, unless he turneth aside to fight, or retreateth to another party of the faithful, shall draw on himself the indignation of Allah, and his abode shall be hell; an ill journey shall it be thither.” (The Spoils – verse 16). There is no way out except by concentrating all powers and energies to face this Nazi, vicious Tatar invasion. The alternative is loss of one’s country, the dispersion of citizens, the spread of vice on earth and the destruction of religious values.
Article 35: Just as the Moslems faced those raids and planned fighting and defeating them, they should be able to confront the Zionist invasion and defeat it. This is indeed no problem for the Almighty Allah, provided that the intentions are pure, the determination is true and that Moslems have benefited from past experiences, rid themselves of the effects of ideological invasion and followed the customs of their ancestors.
What the Bible states about Zion:
Isaiah 34:8 For it is the day of the LORD’S vengeance, and the year of recompences for the
controversy of Zion.
Psalm 69:35 For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell
there, and have it in possession.
Psalm 129:5 Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.
