Israel at War: The Day of the Lord is Near: November 3, 2024
Obadiah 1:15
For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done (to Israel), it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.
About 30 years ago, I begin to preach about the Day of the Lord is Near as found in the Book of Obadiah. In my best selling book As America Has Done to Israel, I included a chapter about the Day of the Lord. The Day of the Lord is a reference in the Bible to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Obadiah gives a clear indicator to the immanent Second Coming of Jesus Christ. The key event is when Israel enters into an all-out battle with the Palestinians in which none of them survive.
I believe the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, and the subsequent war was the trigger for the battle described in Obadiah. This blog will keep you on the cutting edge of events leading to proving the Day of the Lord is Near and soon Second Coming of Jesus Christ. This can be proved by the Bible.
Obadiah 1:18 And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for the LORD hath spoken it.
Hamas even named the attack and war they started. It was call: Operation Al Aqsa Flood! This means the Temple Mount in Jerusalem! All the wars triggered by Hamas’ attack are heading towards Jerusalem where God will bring his final judgment on Islam. Incredible events are soon about to unfold, but if you understand Bible prophecy you know how it is going to end.

Zechariah 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
ISRAEL: Latest Update (The * is for the latest postings)
From article:”Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has promised a “teeth-breaking” response to Israel and the United States after Israel targeted Iranian military sites in retaliatory strikes late last month. “The enemies, both the US and the Zionist regime (Israel), should know that they will definitely receive a teeth-breaking response for what they are doing against Iran and the resistance front,” said Khamenei, referring to Iran-allied militant groups including Hamas and Hezbollah.”
*’End of the War’ in Gaza, Lebanon, Iran? Not Quite Yet
From article:””After Iran’s Oct. 1 missile attack, Mr. Biden told Israel not to attack Iran’s nuclear program. Mr. Trump replied, ‘Isn’t that what you’re supposed to hit? It’s the biggest risk we have, nuclear weapons.’ He reportedly told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, ‘Do what you have to do’… [Trump] tells Israel to do what it needs to do to end the war quickly in victory. Ms. Harris piles on restrictions and insists a cease-fire lead to a two-state solution disconnected from reality.”
*’Orders to come from Iran’: Iraqi militias pose growing risk to Israel
From article:”“The pro-Iranian militias,” Zeidel said, “are not numerous; essentially, only two militias are actively involved. They have created a kind of deep state within Iraq, resistant to interference and ignoring the government, security forces, and any authority they can defy. This plunges Iraq into cycles of violence and the risk of war. They act as they do because they consider their orders to come from Iran.” “They disregard Iraq’s prime minister, the Iraqi army commander, or the defense minister,” he continued. “For them, only [Iranian Supreme Leader] Ali Khamenei and [IRGC Commander] Hossein Salami issue the orders.”
‘Discourse of destruction’: Iran expert says Iranian retaliation guaranteed
From article:”“The level of the threats Israel has been receiving in recent days is rising,” he explained. “Initially, it started with low-level parliament members, but now it has reached the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps generals. The level of threats is rising very fast. In Iran, they are saying they will prepare a response that Israel can’t withstand, that Israel will be defeated. The discourse of destruction is returning, and they are speaking as if the state is on the brink of collapse.”
‘Built to accommodate 1,000 terrorists’: Uncovering and destroying a Hezbollah tunnel system
From article:”Their innovative tactics, reminiscent of operations in Gaza, led to a breakthrough. Military sources involved in the operational details said trust between the Shin Bet coordinators and the Paratroopers and Yahalom commanders—built over previous joint underground operations—facilitated seamless collaboration on the ground. After four grueling days of combat, all shafts were identified, and the tunnel system was exposed. “Without the Shin Bet, we would never have found the entrances. This success is thanks to intelligence working hand in hand with combat forces,” sources told Walla.”
Iran warns US, Israel of ‘crushing response’ as Pentagon ups forces in ME
From article:””Enemies, including America and the Zionist regime, should know that they will undoubtedly receive a crushing response for what they do against Iran and the resistance front,” Khamenei said.”
US to Iran: Avoid strikes or face unrestrained Israeli retaliation
From article:”Recent Israeli intelligence assessments indicate that Iran is preparing to launch an attack on Israel from Iraqi territory, potentially within days and possibly before the US presidential election. Officials in Israel stated that this potential assault could involve Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps collaborating with Shiite militias using drones and ballistic missiles. American sources confirmed the likelihood of such an attack in the short term.
‘Fully coordinated with Iran’: Iraqi militias seek to ally with Islamic Republic on Israel response
From article:”He added that “the Islamic Resistance has not ceased its operations targeting critical sites within the entity [Israel].” He predicted that in the next round of blows, “the resistance will use more advanced missiles, in line with the anticipated escalation.” Another unnamed political official told Al-Ahkbar that “Iran possesses the capability to retaliate against Israel from anywhere, and it is by no means incapable.”

Israel passes landmark law ending UNRWA activities
From article:”The legislation, passed in its final reading on Monday, was spearheaded by MK Boaz Bismuth, who emphasized that “UNRWA is not a refugee aid agency; it is a Hamas aid agency.” Bismuth cited the involvement of UNRWA employees in the October 7 attacks, referencing “chilling images” of Jonathan Smarno, who was held hostage by an individual identified as a “social worker” for the agency. This decisive action reflects Israel’s determination to sever ties with an organization accused of enabling terrorism, despite facing international pressure to reconsider the bill.”
From article:”Iran threatens revenge after Israel strike devastates Iran’s ballistic missile production, possibly for years, and destroys air defenses in Iran as well as in Iraq and Syria; former US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman tells CBN News the strike sends a powerful message to Iran that it can hit Iran’s nuclear program, and Dan Diker of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs says Israel’s attacks show Israel is emerging as the strong horse in the Middle East; Chris Mitchell talks about how Israel’s strike makes it harder for Iran to attack Israel again, and makes Iran more vulnerable to future Israeli strikes, how Iran’s oil and nuclear facilities are vulnerable to attack, how Iran could try to strike back at Israel, and the future for Israeli peace deals and trade agreements in the Middle East; how Iranians, including exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, oppose the current Islamic regime, and hope Israel military action will bring down their government“
From video:”As the Middle East descends into chaos at the hands of the apocalyptic regime in Tehran, will Israel soon carry out another direct strike against Iran? Meanwhile, the Iranian military is brazenly threatening the Jewish State over its latest strike, by saying Israel will face, “bitter and unimaginable consequences.” Is a full-scale war between Iran and Israel now inevitable?”
Israel’s strikes in Iran set the stage for future attacks and a change in US policy
From article:”In the first hours immediately after the attack, the official line was that Iran managed to repel the Israeli attack and that the damage, if any, was minor. The Tasnim news agency, close to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, hastened to announce that only 20 Israeli jets were involved in the attack and that they were prevented from entering Iranian airspace by the regime’s anti-aircraft forces.
But then later on Saturday, the Iranians began to understand the intensity and depth of the damage. General Ismail Kosri, a senior member of the Revolutionary Guards and a member of Iran’s Supreme Security Council, said, “Israel must pay for the intrusion into Iranian skies and the Israelis must get used to the reality of living in shelters.” The assessment coming out of Iran is now starting to match that of the US and Israel, who believe that the strike did significant damage to Iran’s air-defense systems and missile program.
The decision on whether to respond currently rests with the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and while he spoke somewhat ambiguously on Sunday, so far other senior Iranian officials have stayed silent — either out of embarrassment or out of fear of making promises they cannot keep. One thing seems clear: Iran suffered a bigger blow than it expected.”
Though limited, Israel’s highly successful attack leaves Iran more vulnerable than ever
From article:”Now Iran — and its gas and nuclear facilities — are more vulnerable than ever. The regime’s most advanced anti-aircraft systems were destroyed, and replacing them — if their provider, Russia, is even willing or able to do so — will not happen immediately. Its air defenses, which were ineffective on Saturday, are now even less capable with batteries and radars destroyed. On top of the disabling of its air defenses — systems in which Iran has poured significant investment — the Islamic Republic has also lost its chief deterrent against Israel. After weeks of devastating strikes against its leaders and Israeli ground troops operating in force in southern Lebanon, Hezbollah is able to fire a couple of hundred rockets at Israel a day, but that’s it. It has lost the ability to do anything to alter Israel’s decision-making about strikes on Iran. Longtime Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed, and Israeli jets struck Iran directly,”
Satellite images show damage from Israeli attack at 2 secretive Iranian military bases
From article:”Some of the buildings damaged sat in Iran’s Parchin military base, where the International Atomic Energy Agency suspects Iran in the past conducted tests of high explosives that could trigger a nuclear weapon. Iran long has insisted its nuclear program is peaceful, though the IAEA, Western intelligence agencies and others say Tehran had an active weapons program up until 2003. The other damage could be seen at the nearby Khojir military base, which analysts believe hides an underground tunnel system and missile production sites.”
‘Backbone of Iran’s missile industry’ destroyed by IAF strikes on Islamic Republic
From article:”The Arabic independent online newspaper Elaph reported Israel targeted a secret ballistic missile factory in Iran, destroying a large number of heavy fuel mixers used to power Kheibar and Haj Qasem missiles – both of which were fired by Iran at Israel at the beginning of the month. The report also claimed that the S-300 air defense batteries that were attacked were Russian-made and destroyed radars that feed these systems and others in Syria and Iraq.
The report said that the ballistic missile factory was completely destroyed. One source told Elaph that it was the “backbone of Iran’s missile industry” and that Israel had “put it out of service,” also reporting that each heavy fuel mixer destroyed was estimated to be at least two million dollars and about twenty mixers of this type were destroyed.
While Walla reported that production to restore such equipment would reportedly take at least one year, informed sources on the Iranian missile industry told Elaph that it would take at least two years to return the destroyed factory to service.
Iranian and Israeli officials confirmed to the New York Times that Israel had targeted the defenses at the Bandar Imam Khomeini petrochemical complex, in Khuzestan Province; at the major economic port Bandar Imam Khomeini, adjacent to it; and at the Abadan oil refinery. “Israel is sending a clear message to us,” Hamid Hosseini, an expert on Iran’s oil and gas industry and a member of the Iran-Iraq Chamber of Commerce, told the Times. “This can have very serious economic consequences for Iran, and now that we understand the stakes we need to act wise and not continue the tensions.”
