Revelation 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. (15) And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

Marrying Robots? It Could Be on the Horizon (in fact, it’s already here)

“Robotics are important because they’re one of the technological avenues that’s leading us toward the “Image of the Beast.” This technology has advanced to the point where robots can almost appear as human females that men want to “marry” although you still can tell that they are robots. The headline for this post is deliberately a bit jarring in order to get your attention, because this is a subject that’s becoming more than science fiction. Yet it seems like either a joke or something from a second-rate movie. No, you can’t legally marry a robot – yet. But it’s coming.

Already we’re seeing “weddings” between humans and robots on programs like Jerry Springer. While that’s the television equivalent to the “National Enquirer” it’s appearing here first only because the idea seems so remote to most of the culture. And these robots aren’t the type we normally think of; they’re more like sex-dolls. But just the idea that even on the fringes of culture this is occurring tells us that it won’t be long until it spreads.

We’ve already seen marriage change from the traditional, millennial-old definition, so that “homosexual marriage” now is legal. And on the heels of that, we’re hearing calls to legalize polygamy. There even are some who would like group marriage or marriage to animals. So can robots be far behind? We’re learning that humans respond to robots designed to look like people or animals in the same way that they respond to the real thing – with emotion, empathy and bonding. That’s what we’re intended to do with the real thing. But this is a perversion of all those natural traits, just as so much else is being perverted in our technological advance.” (Continued)

Revelation 14:9-11 … If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of  his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
